what would u say about a 8 minute animation, a girl standing on a tribune doing things, walking from left to right side. How long is the postwork, after importing the bvh. How well does it really goes whith mocap?

Anyway, i'll try to sort of rent a studio for a day, this should be much more affortable. But has anyone ever done this with Poser? I'm in a little bit cowered ;] because this projekt is important to me and i don't have much time on my hands :/

I thougt of Mocap, as a solution for fast and exquisit animation? I was interested in SIMI and hoped to find someone here, how has done this jet. Have u done it Yet Norbert?

I thought of a solution, like Capturing via Video than Importing those Files in another Progie exporting a .bvh come on, there must be a way ;]

Dual Monitor YES! Dual CPU NO! Unless u r using Professional Software like Maya, it wont help u @ all. I own a dual MP and While Rendering its slow! For Poser5 get the fastest CPU u can. And 1.5 Gigs of Ram should be enough- 1 seems fine to. "BeatYourSoul" seems to forget, that Poser can't use morge than 2 gigs! And it realy never needs morge than 1 gig @ all. Having morge than 2 gigs installed releases a bunch of problems using Poser ;]

How did you do the Body animation? Ordenary Keying?

sorry man, i started this, just before i saw the other. I didn't meant to beat it - just like i wrote it, in the other thread.. ;] Rendering works fine, but i'll have to animate the figure, matching to the avi. thats why i was wondering, if its possible. And 1 person, claiming it isn't posible doesen't make it imposible.. ;]

ps: whats ur framenumber tab is about??

damn... i just asked the exact same question. I have the same problem, its awfull, working whith a avi not seeing it! i fond this in the readme of sr3 - Loading AVIs to the Background Movie shader node now previews and renders correctly. and thought this would help.. but nothing :( what are u planing 2 do, i would die 4 this feature! But i'll need it fast!

Dual Amd... sorry dude, i own a dual 2000+ machine and it rocks with maya! But 4 some reason, Poser is only able 2 use 1 cpu.. and seriously, 2000+ is much 2 slow 2 work whith p5.... (they'll implement it in one of the nex versions of poser) in my opinion, this is the worst lag of poser, because i have 2 work as fast as possible have a good machine 4 3d animating and poser can't use it ;[ but AMD ows anyway. U can buy a lot more power 4 ur money!!
