Well said and welcome Syyd and Colm :) Looking forward to the forum changes and learning some new photography hint and tips and of course sharing what I know as well :) I am a photography hobbiest , started when I was 10 with my own b/w darkroom and have done it ever since :) In the last year I have gone exclusivly digital with my Nikon Coolpix 950 and I must say I love it!! I am currently working on merging 2 of my favorite things together , computers and photography with a new series of software called KoolKam that will be available here very soon. It mixes the use of your digital capture devices and real time special effects to allow you to make what I think of as real time artwork. No need for post production to get kool effects any more :) Well thats all I have to say for now, except to wish Syyd and Colm the best of luck in making this forum and great community grow and flourish :) Peace and Creativity Chris

Do you want to make them with the images created from those programs or are you talking about avi's / Mpegs ? There are many free programs for both out there , check download.com or Cnet.com and search for Screensaver creators :) Peace and Creativity Chris

I suggest the Coolpix 950 myself it is what I use. I think the 990 has some low light issues that are not in the 950. I love my 950 and of course you cannot beat the Nikor len's they still make the best in the world. Peace and Creativity Chris

I check the place out and I highly recommend it for any photographers. It has a very interesting posting system. You are only allowed to post 3 pictures a week and you must comment on 2 other members pictures before you can post the second pic and 2 other members pics before you can post the 3rd. This has the effect of people participating in not just posting but also in commenting. I like it. I have gotten some great critiques from this site in only 2 days and really look forward to more.
