Sorry about posting a WIP in the wrong place earlier, Bryster, I forgot the rules .  Just to make sure, is this the forum I can post it in?

 The problem seems not to be saving copies as I go, I've done that before, but that whenever I have too many polygons Bryce crashes when I try to save. I figure it just has to do with processing power (I use a Mac Mini;) at times I've just had to render an image before trying saving so I only risk crashing after I've got what I need...

 Hopefully I can get an entry done -- if Bryce doesn't crash when I try to save again >.<

 I like your way of making a field, I might borrow that idea (not for this contest) someday if it's ok :)
