Thread: Odd stuff in upper left corner | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've seen this, too but just recently when I upgraded to SR2.1. Didn't have the problem under SR2.0. I've tried changing bucket sizes, camera angles, etc and it seems to be a no go. For me, the bug seems to come and go as it pleases.

Thread: Opinions sought - P7 on Win XP 64 Pro | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm currently running P7 on XP 64 Pro and (so far) it seems to run okay (other than the occasional crash-to-desktop-with-no-errors). Loads up and renders faster than Poser 6 did (also had that installed on the same machine as well). I will add that my system is a dual-core Athlon64 with about 4GB of ram installed so I can't guess what performance would be like on a slower machine. But otherwise, you really shouldn't have that much in the way of problems :)
Thread: Problems with Poser 7 animations in Vue 6 | Forum: Vue
Thanks :D Apparently, it was the disabled messages that was screwing things up. I'd been using the import entire poser animation option but wasn't getting anything.
Thread: P7 Motion blur...possible bug? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah, I forgot to mention that. Since I have a dual-core system, I'm using the seperate process option. It's FFRender.exe that crashes; Poser itself is pretty much alright, though I do have to close it and restart if I want to do any more renders.
I'll try lowering bucket-sizes but I haven't had any system errors about low memory and memory really shouldn't be a problem since I have about 4GB installed.
Thread: P7 Bug List - Feel Free to add to this. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Also noticed bugs #5 (delete button) and #13 (morphing tool) but didn't pay too much attention to them since I kinda sorta had workarounds for them.

Quote - 2D or 3D motion blur? Or both?
Knew I forgot something ;) 3D motion blur — I have no problems at all with 2D.
Thread: Poser 7 - Resolution (300DPI and Beyond) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes, there's a problem with the way Poser handles dpi settings but that is still easily resolved by changing the dpi settings in Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro and it doesn't change the fact that if you render a small image with a large dpi, you're going to wind up with a correspondingly small print. Frankly, I've never much bothered with setting dpi in either Poser, or Vue (which, btw, if you set to 300dpi, it's still going to save as a 100dpi image). I saved that for when I started postwork. As long as I knew what I wanted the original printed size to be, all I had to do was set my render dimensions for that size in pixels, which is the print size in inches multiplied by the dpi; if you were doing an 8x10inch print, you'd set your render dimensions to 2400x3000 pixels then, bring the results into PS or PSP and change the dpi settings. I know how to do it in Photoshop without having the image resampled but I'm not sure how to do it in PSP.
Thread: Poser 7 - Resolution (300DPI and Beyond) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Actually, what you should do is figure how many inches you're planning to print your render at, then multiply that by 300. Like, if you're planning to do 8x10 inch prints, then you'll have to render at 2400x3000 pixels. 720x486 @ 300dpi is only going to give you a 2.4x1.62 inch print. But changing dpi is pretty easy; just bring your saved render into Photoshop, go to Image > Image Size and deselect resample image, then in the box that's labeled Resolution, erase 72 and replace it with 300 then press OK. I'm sure there's something pretty similar in Paint Shop Pro.
Hope this helps and I hope this clears up any confusion.
Thread: XML ERROR???? WTH is that? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It may just be as a few people have pointed out; it's something with e-Frontier's update service. I had the XML error on maybe Wednesday or Thursday but Poser started up alright so I just ignored it and didn't give it much thought after that because I just though that it was "one of those things" you might get every now and then. I didn't own V4 then (just got her yesterday) and hadn't put in my preorder for Poser 7 until Friday. Haven't had much problem saving or opening files that I'm aware of but I've been working in Vue 6 since then but think I'll turn off auto updates just to be on the safe side. crosses fingers.
Thread: Vue 6 is available for download! | Forum: Vue
Quote - Transfer finished! About the ExtrasCD.zip, only a single file inside called "caustics matt.vue", could someone of you confirm ? I've read that some user got a ~300mb ExtrasCD... About the broken link, same thing here yesterday but I believe it's due to server overload, give more try at different hours. This early morning at 03:00am GMT I get very fast speed. An early standup from bed just to launch the transfer could be very useful!!! I confirm that the downloader is able to resume broken connections.
You might want to try downloading ExtrasCD.zip again. The filesize should be around 300mb and the .zip file should contain somewhere around 726 files.
Thread: Vue 6 is available for download! | Forum: Vue
I got it; got it installed. Now, I'm playing around with it. Problem is, though, I have to study (for school) so won't be able to really say just how much of an improvement it is over Vue 5. The one thing that noticed right away though is that interface is slightly different from V5. It's black instead of V5's silver and I haven't tried importing anything from Poser just yet. And speaking of, I almost have to wonder if there will be any problems with support for Poser 7 when it comes out.
It took three/four hours to download and then there were some problems getting the serial number to work. The Vue 6 installer didn't want to take the serial number, or rather, it wouldn't accept the letters A,E,I,O or U. So, if anyone has that problem, what you'll have to do is copy and paste the entire serial number from your email (including that VUE6INF-part) into the first box and it'll fill in all of the other boxes automatically.
Hopefully, someone who has more time to spend will have a little more indepth review of Vue 6 and what it can do.

Quote - ArdathkSheyna If you're talking about Cornucopia3D's site, I have never successfully placed an order without help from a support person for exactly the same reason - credit card declined. However, if you check your credit card/bank online, you may well find that a charge was in fact successfully placed. It will fall off the card after a few days, though, if you don't follow through.
I've tried from several browsers and several locations, always with the same problem, so now it's scared me. I'd like to get Skinvue6, though, when it becomes available.
This is E-On's main site and I've never had problems ordering from them. And it turns out it was something that I did wrong. Anway, I've got my confirmation and download links and now it's just waiting for it to finish downloading (it's been going since about 2pm central and it's about half-way through the second file.
Quote - I got my downloader and serial number, but it stayed at 0% for over 6 hours? is this happening to other people? grrrr
Yep, it's happening to everyone. The servers are just that busy, I guess.

Quote - Sometimes credit card companies will decline a credit card transaction because the charge will show it is from France. Call them and tell them the charge is OK. Went through that last time for Vue 5...
What I'm irritated about is that I shouldn't be charged at all, since I included the order number from my previous purchase of Vue 5, I should've gotten an email for a download link for Vue 6. Since I purchased my copy of Vue 5 between July 1 and October 30th, I'm qualified for the free upgrade.
