I think Sea dragons actually spew water ! (by the mouth, not by the nose like the whale, nor as the dreaded deep sea assblower). You can find a prop to simulate water flowing in a shower (including droplets) in the freestuff, and a good tut on how to paint water in the Bryce section of 3dcommune tuts (as it's postwork you can apply it to Poser). Good work :)

I feel a little sick... I spend a lot of time doing Poser AND Photoshop. You may have zillions of dollars to spend on paying live models, but I can't so I use Poser as a base. If you haven't spend a minute in watching the pics in the galleries, take a tour. For exemple, start with 3dcommune, you can even look at my pictures (in the Bryce gallery) and even post some insult under it. Feel free. At least, you will see what I think about gestapo... I suppose that the fact Photoshop is used in porn postwork to produce fake pictures of naked celebrities doesn't bother you ? As I use both programs, I'm certainly some kind of bicybersexual...

Rubens, Picasso, Mondrian, Kandinsky, Chagall, Brancusi, Feiniger, Dali, Giotto, Da Vinci, Donatello, Micelangelo, Poussin, Van Gogh, Rapha, Pollock, Ingres, Gainsborough, Goya, Velasquez... They never were serious artist I suppose, for they never published in Penthouse comic (lol). So many shapes, so many different feelings, so many messages. Nevertheless I suppose the commentator never interested himself in any artistic research... :)

You have to use a few layers : oil painting are more contrasted, so try to change the fusion mode and opacity. Oil is glossy : duplicate the basic layer then apply a plastic wrap filter and change the fusion mode and opacity to achieve a delicate style. You can add one more layer just over the basic one with the same pic and a palette knife filter to smudge a little. When you have finished, flatten the layers, then duplicate the result and do a texture filter with very low settings, and control the result with a mask. So, try, try a lot !. :)

I think you can basically use the same techniques as "hair painting". There are quite a few good tutorials in the Poser section. Shortly : use an airbrush with a brush form, and new layers in the screening mode or other fusion styles to respect the underlying shadows. :)

Hartwichr : Sorry for the mistake about Birn's book. I actually use a French translation. :)

I may be a little dumb, but I think photorealism is not a goal in itself. Manet and Monet, Van Gogh discovered it in their time when photography started to be practical. The feeling behind a picture needs more than soft shadows and motion blur, and I like Bryce vibrant colors and deep "feeling" (I'm afraid I'm not very clear here)... And even then I add a little more in Photoshop. By the way, a lot of siple trick used in "up-end" applications can straightily be used in Bryce but you simply need patience to set everything before rendering (there's an excellent book about lighting : Digital lighting and Rendering, by Jeremy BIRN, published by CampusPress, where you'll see the rendering engine is nothing comparing to the logic behind the lighting). :)
Thread: Complex Global Lighting 2 from DAZ3D BUG!!! argh @!$$$%$%@# | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I had a similar problem with some lights, not only global lighting, when the model is really smaller or taller than a P4 or Mil adult (for exemple the Mouse), so it may well be your case. :)

Thread: Missing textures produce crash on OS X ! | Forum: Bryce
Did I mention, I work with PC's all day long ??? You're right there's no point in arguing about OS, they all have their bad days. (contrition)
Thread: Missing textures produce crash on OS X ! | Forum: Bryce
There's not even any point in comparing the Os ! Who would compare a "jaguar" with a bike ? You can do good things with Windows but why work in pain ? And in fear (thanks the viruses !). :)
