Thread: Multiplaning? | Forum: Bryce
You can use hi-resolution alpha channels to cut you mask, gives good clean edges. One for each plane should work just fine. But as you move the camera, you would see that the images are 2D planes, unless your dead straight on. The trouble with the preset trees is that they are LOW-res with badly made alpha channels.

Not sure either, but I think that MacConverter converts PC files for Mac use, not the other way.....but I'll look into it, thanks.

Make sure that before you import the picture, THAT you increase the terrain resolution to 1024--> Then import and your edges will be nice and sharp!

I've made my living for the last 6 years doing commercial images and illustrations in Bryce and Poser. Ads, corporate collateral, CD covers, magazine editorial illustration, etc..... So yes Bryce is used by myself and several others as one of the tools of choice, in the commercial image market.

Just gat a note from Credo..... "We've discovered a change in the BVH file format on Poser with the 4.0.2 release. You can see this change for yourself if you open a new Poser BVH in a text editor. You'll see that there are now a lot of blank spaces between lines, which weren't there in the old BVH files. Once we removed the spaces in the text editor, saved the file, and imported it into Poser, everything was fine. We're working on building a new plugin that will correctly read the altered BVH files. If you wanted a quick work-around in the meantime, you could open the BVH files in a text editor and remove the blank spaces yourself, but it's a bit labour-intensive. However, our developers have put this on high priority, and hope to have a solution as soon as possible. I'll let you know as soon as we get either a finished solution, or a time estimate on how long it will be." Hope this makes the fustration a reality and not a "what the !@!$#! did I do wrong.
