Took me a sec, but I finally got it. };]The skull is from the Poser skeleton, just tore it up after importing it into Bryce.};]

As a matter of fact, I have used sPatch to make some of the axe blades, but the process is soooo much more time consuming compared to making the outline in photoshop..I have spent hours modeling one, and it took all of 15 minutes to make a much more complex object with the bryce symetrical lattice. I still use sPatch for a lot of my props, but am loving that lattice more and more. };]

Well done, obviously a lot of work went into it. I would however tone down the title and signature a bit. because the mood of the picture is so dark, all the bright white at the bottom draws your attention away from the scene. that's my opinion at least. };]

Frazetta and Boris are my inspirations at the moment, so I take that as a high compliment indeed! I also found an old book of Roger and Martin Dean, and my next picture will hopefully show that influence as well. Is there an interest in these types of weapons? I have a few others in the works that I may post if there is...The only problem is the size..since the "blade" portion is actually a symetrical lattice from Bryce, it makes for rather large files..};[ Bloodsong..Just let me know if it gets used, I would love to see it! };]
Thread: What about Bryce? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That is how I made the blade for Battle Axe 01, it is actually a Bryce4 symetrical lattice that I exported into Poser, the rest is Poser primitives (props)..

All I can say is WOW! That is SOOOO much better, who knows, even I might start adding more males to my pictures if I had that to work with! };]

Funny you should mention Frazetta, that is one of the books sitting in front of me right now for inspiration! as well as Boris. };]

Thanks for the comments! Grey..you are right, you cannot import into sPatch, and it is a bear! };] if you view the figure from any other angle, it looks pretty bad, but that is where lighting, and camera positions come in. };]It is all just trial and error but since sPatch is free, I can't complain.};]

The "clothing" was made with a little freeware modeling program called sPatch the url is http://www.cableone.net/alyson/spatch.html the hair was from the forum, sorry, but do not remember who made it, then tweaked in Photoshop. the whole picture was rendered in Bryce4. I turned off the sun, and added a single spot light as the only light source. Thanks for the comments!

Thread: Poser Textures in Bryce ... How do you get them to look so well? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Make sure you turn down the ambient light on the texture. I usually zero mine completely out.
