Sheila, it's a defenite possibility! As sson as i'm happy with the finals, i'll look for a host(Maybe Planit3D), since they already have my Boxing stuff there. They are easier to do then you think. I just drew a Spline(Line with control points) that makes half the shape of it, then i simply droped it in a "lathe object"(Lathe is simply a process of revolving a shape around an axis, can be any angle between 1 & 360 degrees) & i can tell also how many "cross sections" to use, to have different resolutions... So, talent has nothing to do with it, just experience with all the 3D tools available to me... ;-) Actually, you could make them in poser by just using a Sphere & a cylinder & a bit of creative use of Magnets... Dos anyone remember a cool freebie(Maybe) of paticles, that had different alpha maps included to make anything from petals to sparkles??? Anyways, RedHawk it's in your MailBox! Later, Markus

Ah! So, it is NetherWorks! Checked the FS here & at his site, but no Globe... :-( Thanks Fyrene! I wouldn't call this modeling. More like 'Doodling'.. :-O Anyways, i might refine them & add a few details & pop them to the FS section later. The least i can do for such a wonderful community. ;-) Dolce Sogno! Markus

Ooooh! Nice one Ziggie! Didn't think about the SnowFlakes! Doh! Don't know who NWS is either. Unless it stands for NetherWorks? Markus

Hmm... Just checked RDNA's one! Nice multiple bases. i just realized that the Globe Base(Glass) should either be flat or just cut out. I'll fix that now. For the Base texturing, you can just use whatever Wood tex you have on hand... So my globes will be textureless. But, UVMapped! Anyhow, i'm offline in 30 minutes. If i don't get your email by then, i'll send them first thing in the morning... Later! Markus

Nice find Acadia! That's the "Round" type. There's also the ones you find in "Souvenir" shops. It's width is about 75% of it's length... That's the one i'm doing now. just need to check the UVMapping on it & it's ready to ship... :-) I'll post a preview here in a few moments. Markus

Hmmm... How would you like it? I did a quick search in goggle & the shapes vary widely! Show me a link to a pic of what you want & i'll make it for you in a snap! Markus

Weight maps are basically a selection set of Polys that ususally work with hypernurbs cages(Subdivision object) or bones in high end apps. it's helps to restrict the action of the HN or Bones to specific zones on your mesh. And you usualy just paint the zones diretly on the mesh with brush set at different strengths... There's something remotely similar already in Poser: In the Cloth room you can assign points to "Constraint zones", etc... ;-) Markus

Excellent work Tim! Love your characters. One of the few movies to do without sound in space was 2001. Markus
Thread: The measure of a Tape... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
ok! EnglishBob is generously hosting the file! So, thank him! Now, i discovered an unforeseen problem with the textures. I use PNG a lot lately in my projects, cause it's a lossless format(meaning, there's no degredation in quality). And it often cuts the size in half(compared to jpg). but, i just discovered that .png create hiccups on different systems. So i made the executive decision to keep the .PNG files in the .ZIP But, when you load the prop, it will look for .JPG!! You MUST convert the .PNG textures to .JPG first, before loading the prop! This is also stated in the readme. Hopefully, you will overlook this inconvenience in favor of a cool prop! :-)) So, look for the prop appearing in FS near you anyday... Regards! Markus

Ok! Thanks to all those that messaged me to host it! Apologies for late replies, Just hadn't noticed the "You got new Messages" atop the Layout! They should make a quick popup appear at least... :-( Anyways, the prop will be available real soon to all. :-) Live long... Markus To all those that will D/L it, Please read the txt file in the zip! It has crucial info on a known bug with a texture & the fix for it. :-)

Check this place: http://homepage2.nifty.com/~mr_trout/models/poserModel.html :-) MarkusThread: Tips on positioning mirrors? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Try this: 1- Load another fig(ex.: V3 without Inj Morphs or loPoly Fig) 2- Apply same pose as main fig. 3- 'Swap' the pose(Having IK on for legs & arms will help). 4- Place Mirfig opposite Mirror Same distance as OriFig. 5- Make Mirror Tranparent or 'Outlined' to see MirFig. 6- Now play with mirror pos to 'till you see what you like. That way, no need to move camera at all! :-) Hope this helps! Markus
