In the long run I would learn to use Vue's shaders, but since I'm fairly comfortable with Poser's shaders I would want to use them in the short term.

I have Vista 64 with 8gigs of ram so hopefully that will be enough.

Anyway I'm still slugging t along with the free version of Vue to see if I like it. And budgeting to see if I can afford the $300 for the minimum capabiities that I need. :)

Close, I'm using Poser Pro (P7+) but as soon as Poser Pro 2 (P8+) comes out I'll switch over.

I love P8 but I can't live without Pro's 64-bit renderer.

They propabably just assumed that everyone has already seen the promos when it was here. 

If you're working with figures the 'posing' camera will orbit around the currently selected figure.

Netherworks has an FX set over at DAZ that has a good work around. The plane has two small 'guide' cubes that allow you to quickly line them up by hand.

If you still have the product key (usually on a sticker on your machine) you can probably get Vista install disks from MicroSoft. In the past they sold replacement disks for around $10 (including shipping).

That would be a problem with Vista and could be the cause of your problems with Poser.

I gave up on comic life because the exported output was always slightly blurry.

Then I got Manga Studio 4 and I haven't looked back, so the problem may have been fixed since then. It was a known bug at the time.

Manga Studio is designed to allow you to completely draw comics from scratch. Think of a specialized photoshop.

The latest version of Manga Studio has greatly improved color handling. You can now import color pictures into panels. The previous version would only import color pics into the background layer.

There's Particles 3 for Poser of at DAZ. It might do what you want. I have it but I haven't played with it very much.

Because often  if you morph the poser figure then conform the clothing often the clothing still doesn't seem morphed at all.

In that case the clothing probably doesn't have the corresponding morphs, but the other morphs it does have are locked to the base figure.

The problem is super conforming. If a piece of clothing is super conforming and you conform it to a figure you can no longer adjust the clothing using the FBM dials. What is happening is that you change the value and then poser ignores it and uses the settings of the base figure instead.

You can test this by loading the clothing all by itself and test the FBM without loading a figure. If they work when you only have the clothing loaded then your problem is with super conforming.

I personally hate super conforming because it makes it a pain to adjust the morph settings.

There are seperate settings for show hidden files and show system files. Unfortunetly I'm not near a Vista machine right now so I can't say exactly how to get to it.
