You don't have to be connected to the internet EVERYTIME you start Poser. Once you have started Poser and it has checked the license, this is valid for 21 days, so in that time Poser will open normally if you are not connected. (Just tried this by disconnecting my machine from the net and confirmed you can open Poser with no net connection)
Thread: Using with dual screen- ISSUES! | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
I have my system set up so it re-starts to factory default and a ui dot set for my 2 screen set-up. Thus it is just a one click option to go to the 2 screen set up.
Thread: An Absolute Beginner, Trying To Understand Runtimes | Forum: New Poser Users Help
I would suggest the best way to organise the content in the way you want is to create new runtimes and add these to poser. Somewhere on your drive that poser can write to create a folder named whatever you want ( a descriptive name of the sort of stuff you are going to put in this runtime) and in this folder create a folder called runtime. Now in poser you add this runtime to your content by clicking on the symbol of upright books with the plus near the top right of your library window. This opens a window that allows you to navigate to the folder you have created, select this and poser will add a runtime to your library.
Now if the content is correctly structured within the zip folder you can use the install from zip archive to add content to this runtime.. (If the zip file doesn't have runtime folder as one of its top folders you have to install manually)
Thread: Conforming Clothes On La Femme? | Forum: New Poser Users Help
Make sure you have saved the scene before you go to the cloth room. Just to check you are using the cloth room correctly here are the steps.
1 In the pose room set the frames slider to a suitable value. I usually use 15
2 With the slider set pose LaFemme in the final pose ( the dress will not follow LF aat this stage)
3 go to the cloth room, clothify lf dress.
4 set up the other parameters (collide against, number of frames etc)
5 run the simulation.
You can now return to the pose room.
This was very brief to check if there are any steps you have missed.

Thread: Sort Wishlist by Priority(?) | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
If you have used the "move to top" function to move items to the top of your wish list, when you select sort by priority it lists those items first then others by alphabetical order (ie the default way of listing items when you open your wishlist) so if you sort by price for example, and want to go back to seeing those items you have moved to the top, you use sort by priority.
Thread: Material Room | Forum: New Poser Users Help
You can save materials as mt5 (single material) or mc6 (material collections) easily. In the pose room select the object which has the material you want to save. Now select the materials tab in the library, create a new folder if you want to, and click on add to library. It will ask you if you want to save a single material or the collection and to name the material. Most new poser products don't use pz3 files for materials now.
Thread: newbie question re: content | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
Michael 4 is available for purchase at DAZ. Not sure what you mean about support for Poser. If you are asking is there any content for poser, the answer is plenty. If you are asking about support ie help, you can post questions and other users will try to help.
If you want official technical support you need to raise a support ticket, contact Jen Blake to find out how.
Thread: Reward Points Not Credited. | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
And now I've received an e-mail telling me I have not paid, despite previously having received 5 e-mails telling me it has been paid! (And I've already downloaded it, and been notified by paypal it's been paid) Something is really screwed!
Thread: Reward Points Not Credited. | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
I've got the same problem with order 113532956 (although I did get 5 e-mails telling me payment had been received!!)
Thread: How many people here are signed up to Prime? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well if you just click on the market place tab at the top of this page, and many others, you will see on the drop down menu options for prime flash and prime products.

The problem with making stuff for M4 is that you are competing with years of back catalog. As far as historical stuff is concerned I have civilian clothing for M4 from the 30s, regency, Victorian and medieval periods (and some cavemen outfits) As far as military clothing goes I've got WW2, Napoleonics, AWI, muskateers, Medieval, Vikings, Crusades, romans and Greeks. While l'Homme doesn't have the same customer base, it has no historical, Sci-fi or fantasy back catalog to compete.
Yes when you look at the best sellers you see mainly products for DAZ, but that is at least partly due to the fact there is much less new Poser content available. Also sales really have a great effect. If a product is released at full price I tend to add it to my wishlist and buy it if and when I need it, whereas if something starts of on sale I tend to buy it before the sale ends in case I'm going to need it (which is why my runtimes have more stuff in them than I'm likely to use in my lifetime)
One final point, personally I think hybrid clothing combines the worst of both worlds, the added complexity of dynamic clothing, with the problems of having to pose figures without the clothes, check the animation,, run the sim, redo if you later want to change the pose (which for me makes the widespread use of dynamic clothing in big action scenes impractical), together with the problems of conforming clothing, poke throughs and less realism.
I believe in general that most "ordinary" users prefer the ease of conforming clothing and the best selling lists seem to confirm this, but maybe that's just confirmation bias on my part
Thread: What is Poser's most UNDERUSED Feature? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Most unused feature, the chain break tool??? No idea what it's used for, never seen it mentioned in any forums, but now expect half a dozen people to tell me it's invaluable!
