Doc,
I was wondering why you would want that file.. I didn't think it contained all the content required to load it (I thought you might have mighty magic python script that would dig out the lighting info).
Is there a way to have Poser 7 save all the various parts to a single .pz3?

Hi Doc
THANK YOU !
All I can imagine at this point is that Bryce somehow saves a light source in its files and every time I pull in bryce content it blows up Posers lights. There should be NO light on that sphere, and the lighting effects I am trying to achieve are trashed by all the unwanted blue light leaking in from outside.
Thank you VERY much for your time.

oh,..
P.S.
Drac... I was never bothered by the idea that I am limited by my imagination..
The part that disturbs me is that I might be limited by a lack of imagination.

Hi
NoobieJoe here...
I haven't read this tutorial yet (cause I am still reading the DrGeep tut about cartoons), but I did stumble on camera views for spot lights the other day. That was pretty cool. As a second thought I also found a little tool where someone had extended the axis of the x,y, and z on a magnet so that you could actually get an idea of where the center of the mag was in relation to the outside of a solid object. It would be nice if there was a way to turn on the x,y,z lines of a spot light and extend the line straight out the front of the light so that you could see where it is aimed.
YEA ! ! !
Thats it... lights with friggin laser beams... I'll call up mini-me and have him put it together right away.. we will have to pull the laser off the shark.. (silly movie reference, if you don't get it you didn't miss anything)
The other option is to just point the light at an object... BUT I bet that is what the tutorial says.. I will read that one next.
Doc.. YOU are the RULEST !
THANK YOU !
Thread: why does Miki have a serial number? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
LOL
I was so PO'd I canceled my order. I thought they wanted my P7 serial #, and when I put it in it rejected the #.
Now it makes sense... Guess I will go back and get Miki.

Thread: displacement map from ZBrush3 applied to lowresmesh in Poser7 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hey Baggins...
THANK YOU !..
I am just nosing around the forums trying to learn odds and ends so that I can eventually be good at this and the explination of the positive and negative displacement was OUTSTANDING. I am sure that it will come in handy later.

Thanks Morgano.
I havent tried rendering the scene after I turned on the blue light again. I was to flustered at that point. I had 11 lights and when I deleted #10 number 11 came back on (because for some reason I cannot get more than 10 lights to work).
BUT... I did render the scene with the blue light off to verify that the lights inside the building were actually shining through the walls, and tthey do shine through in the render.
So.. I will go try it but I am pretty sure that they will shine through. (that was where my problems started I kept adjusting the intensity of the inside lights and everything inside stayed blue (because of the outside light)

Hummmm
I think my install must be hosed. I have been getting some other weirdness and I bet its related. Things like when I apply the MATs to a figure the figure turns all black until I go into the matrerials room and open each individule(sp) body part, then they all change to the correct material.
Thanks all.
I guess I am reinstalling Poser tonight (for the umpteenth time)
P.S. Nice image pjx99. I wish it took me 17 light to see my caboose.. ;-)
