I wonder why DAZ3D is not giving a manual to all the purchasers (as I proposed to them a week ago). There are so many issues you have to know with V2, things Jaager explained above and more: lots of threads were about the eyebrows and I had to puzzle around with that for a while till I found out what I made wrong. I'd also suggest a list of all the MTs and what they do (and how they interact). Not everyone wants to spend lots of time with trial and error I guess. What do you think about that? I'm sure there is a documantation of all this at DAZ3D. Will they give us some clues???

As far as I understand your question, you mean post production. I think it's very common to do so unless there are zwo different parties: the strict ones, who think everything has to be done in a single program (the no-posters like me in ancient times) and others (like me now) who think the most important thing is what your result looks like! It can be tricky though to to good post work, but I use Painter 3d too for hair painting, and with a graphic pad it's working well enough. You should not use a mouse for that. I recommend the multicolor brush first and then the spray for single hairs (very small) and with that sharp shape in the settings. Again: I admit, it's not TOO simple, you'll need practice. And of course it's better to have a good start, like Kozaburo's hair, which needs only very little post work.
Thread: Why should I buy Vicky 2.0? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quite right Colm, I agree. I personally used Posette less and less since Vicky was given birth last year. One of the reasons is that Posette is a model you can see everywhere in the journals (at least in Germany) and the MTs you can get are not as sophisticated as Vickie's. Her face is always quite the same (remember her unnatural smile). Always a deja-vu! I purchased V 2 some hours ago and I have to say: she is worth every penny/cent/Pfennig!!! Just to play with all these MTs is fun for days. DAZ3D made a overwhelming model. Again to everyone: if you have the money: GET HER!!! FunFunFun.

Thanks for the kind replies. Would you be interested in some other MTs for NYW like genitals or so? Give me some suggestions.

Glad you like it. I had to make the props for a pic I had in mind because I could not get them anywhere else...

Ooops, so I guess a look into my english dictionary would have been a good idea:-| (crawling ashamed underneath my PC-table). And Picnic, you're right: I prefer at least 30+. Many of the gallery posts look for me too perfect. Skin is too perfect, body-shape also. The un-perfect is (for me) even more intersting. It's a matter of personal taste and many of the "perfects" show the fantastic skills of the admirable creators (like e.g. Beton and many others). Ralph

I think Allies tex is in the renderosity free stuff (Vicki/Millie). Wonderful done, but she's 70+ in age, I mean REAL old. Mine is 45 to 55 I would guess... Ralph

Recently I made a texture for mature women. You can get it here in the free stuff section. The texture is for Vicki/Millie because she has good MTs to age the face. I will post similar textures for P3 and P4 too, but give me some time: vacations are near. Ralph

Hi PJF, thank you for your detailed answer. I am using Bryce since years, and I agree: there are still new things to find for me in Bryce. I've tried the array lighing you mention on your homepage, too. That can look pretty good, but the rendertime is almost endless if you have (say) 20 omnilights or more. Ok, that can be done over night, but the arrangement of the lights is a question I still have. Where can I find some tutorials about that theme (e.g. petersharpe has nothing about it or did I overlook it)? I know that shadow mapping etc. is not state of the art, and call me a lamer but: I really like the output. Ralph

Bonestructure, I know 3DS too and to me Bryce rendering is much more easier, but 3DS is too expensive for me. What I like is that shadow-map-rendering Poser does (just like 3DS) apart from its very basic composing abilities. I still wonder if it is better for me to purchase Vue or Carrara (my needs are good renderings as well as a good modeller). Or both (my poor accounts...) R.

I thought beginning with GO would be a good idea and later upgrading. XL right now is too expensive for me. But you are right, I will get the demo first (Maxon has it on their site I guess). Ralph

Thanx for the fast reply. I took a quick look to your tut. It seems to be a bit uncomfortable using Cinema and Poser, so I am still not sure if I should buy it. Ralph

You are right, the combination Poser/Bryce is confusing sometimes. The mapping problem is frustrating sometimes because it can be solved only with handwork. Peter Sharpe has a good tutorial on that (www.petersharpe.com: The problem with Vicky). I think that will help at your problems. Ralph
