Attn April YSH: I did a search for "flute" in Poser Freestuff and found "mwFlute" for vicky by mint... Is THAT the one you mean?

I deleted all of my adobe-type fonts and left all of the >TTF types in place. This is from advice I got here a couple of years back and it worked for me.

Thanks! I actually found the link on the VVicky info/order page that allowed me to view the package's readme file. It said clear as day that it works with Vicky 1 AND 2 So as far as it goes I can get VVic and later upgrade the base vicky to 2.0 when I have the cash to spare! TTFN! Starlok

Thread: Need Direction to GOOD NonTransmap hair in Marketplace | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
While the Nitegraphix hair looks damned good, I 'v only had the time to DL them... I'll have to wait until tomorrow to actually test them out... Omni hair sounds familiar... I know it used to be here on 'Rosity, but I think I found my favorites afterwards and never really gave it a shot. Thanks! Starlok

I happened to like (a LOT!!!) the look Koz's Hair gave to my characters, but there was a SIGNIFICANT slowdown it rendering when I had more than two characters in the scene(I only have 128 Meg RAM). that's why I prefer the "plastic-doll hair" Thanks, though!

As I understand it, The earlier versions of Morphworld were closed down when Traveller got sick and tired of seeing his generosity and effort get raped and pillaged for others' profit and credit. I've visited morphworld 3.0 (for his Eve Morphs) and it seems that beyond the basics (Eve chatracter, Azura, and some other stuff) the various morphs are only available on a $45.00 CD (out of my price range!) Anyway, the actual hair objects I vaguely remember were done by someone else. Thanks anyway! Starlok

Whoa! Thanks Thip! Those stupid triangles were ticking me off! Any way I can still use AMAPI 4.15 to make my own morph targets too?

Thanks for the Tips! Unfortunately, Milk shape is out because of the Traingles, and I already have Amapi 4.15 Again, it tringularizes so any or their pay2play products aren't really going to do it for me. I'll try Anim8or and Nendo (7Megs for the DL!!!! I'm gonna be up all night! ;) !!!) I thought about carrera when I first got poser, but bought bryce instead. BIG waste of money since I couldn't export my boolean type creations... and with a K62-400 i didn't have the patience for even the simplest render-times! Ah, well... maybe Nendo or Anim8or will do the trick! Thanx again! Starlok

Actually Yes, You can do them for yourself if you have Paint Shop Pro or a similar program. If you take your stock Skin Texture, you can use the Freehand or Point-to-Point Selection tool to outline the borders of the lips as closely as possible. Invert the selection and paint/fill the rest of the area one solid color. In order to cut down on the size of the resulting image, Change the color to greyscale and play with the Brightness/Contrast setting until you have a nice variation between the lightest and darkest regions. The idea is to get the average gray as light as possible without totally washing out all the detail. Save the new lip texture as a .JPG image and you can accomplish two things... First you can apply it to your base figure and color it as you wish in Poser. Second, you have your basic image for converting to Bump Map. An additional step that may be helpful is to take your original standard Texture and set your airbrush tool color to the facial skin tone. Carefully airbrush out the area of the lips so that the face has no more mouth, and save that under a name similar to "Male/Female SkinDefault.jpg". This will prevent a red outline from "halo-ing" your grey lips. Set your skin texture to your new default skin, and set your lip texture to the Gray Lip Texture/Bump. Color to suit. I've done similar things for Eyes, Nipples, & Nails as well so I really have far fewer Textures than usual for a wide ranging cast of characters. I hope this helps you. One last thing that you might find useful is that you can keep your skin texture down to a reasonable size while increasing the resolution dramaticly [sp?] on those portions where you really want fine detail. My Lips/Eyes textures are 2x the size of my skin Tex without appreciably slowing down my K62-400 appreciably... after all, it doesn't have to load up a separate HiRes Map for Each individual character! To Jaager, Unfortunately, I haven't used any of the "bend" parameter dials at all. The magnet is parented to the head, and the magnet itself is the only thing altering the geometries! And (to FyreSpirit) all morphs seem to warp when I apply the magnet and rotate it. ...No Joy! Ah well. Also, I HAVE tried modifying the joint parameters, but you do NOT want to see what happens then! Thanks!

Thanks! Unfortunately, I am a little too... confused by Jaager's method. I fully understand why you don't use the magnets in Poser... maybe thay'll improve it in v 5.0??? I wish I could use the Amapi (free version) to modify meshes, but it seems to do funky things when I try to modify/import a morpf target. I really wish I could afford a more professional version! MomCat, I tried your method, but the problem was when I Rotated the magnet, the skin moved correctly but the mouth, lips, eyeballs, and tongue stayed in their original positions! Sorry, I'm not into melting faces, much less clocks! (think Dali(?)) Ah well... It's better to have tried and failed than not to have tried at all! It's really just a petty little annoyance that I decided to try out... Mo biggie! Thanks for the advice, though! You guys are great! Starlok
