Thanks bunches!!! If you'll PM me your e-mail, once I get it all together (I must find all those little blank spots in the map, grr!) I'll send you everything I've done. Thanks again for the model. It's turned out to be exactly what I needed!

Thank you. I have a tendancy towards freaking out if I'm asked to use a text editor to modify a 3d file, but I will certainly have a read through. :)

Thanks, Ockham. I didn't miss Step 4... I don't know what I did, but I must have done something wrong. Unfortunately the Mac version of UVMapper doesn't work as a drag-and-drop. Maybe you have Pro? There is as yet no Pro for Mac (but the day that there is, I'll be begging my usband for toys). I suspect I'm just a bit rusty. I'm going to read the UVMapper tutorials again and try your step by step routine, Ockham. Thanks!

H'm, now this is weird. I tried importing the remapped .obj, but it won't take .jpg files I create in Photoshop. One test file I made for it simply won't load. Others wil load, but they won't render. Bizarre.
Thread: Help please: retexturing a prop | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I did export it as an .obj, yes, and I can remap that no problem. But the remap only applies to the exported .obj file, not to the prop as it pops up in Poser, because it's a completely separate file. Should I just import the remapped .obj file as a new prop? I think that should work...

Brycetech has created some great creepy-crawlies. I have the Real Critter Pack and I can vouch for the quality of his models. Some of them will certainly meet your 'disgusting' requirement! Brycetech's Marketplace: http://market.renderosity.com/mpview.ez?Start=1&Who=brycetech&WhatsNew=Y

I won't be buying anything at all anytime soon, but if it's any incentive to the rest of you, Apollo Maximus is brilliant.

Thank you both. Alexic, that's quite true: there's a great deal of cultural significance, and for myself I am quite ignorant of the details. There are quite a lot of Sikhs where I live, and to me in the picture I posted it looks similar to the turbans I see on Sikh men... maybe that's why I like it. I can see if I can find a few more photos. Pdxjims, thank you! That's very generous of you. If I do retexture it (and if the texture is any good at all) I will certainly send you a copy. That's a wonderful David texture in the picture you posted. Is that also yours? I confess I don't have David (and I've already called in my Christmas present!).

Select the teeth and eyes separately and set them to invisible. Also turn off shadow casting for teeth and eyes.

Try PoserNightmare, linked from here under the Web Ring Top Fifteen-- it'll help if you can read Japanese. If you haven't been to Studio Maya yet, please do go; they have some great stuff there. http://www.3digitalcrafts.net/studiomaya/index.html

Thread: Jesus Christ Poser figure? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thip had a great robe for Mike in a freebie section somewhere that I often use, but now I can't find a link to it... does anyone else remember this? BTW, Agape, I really like your Jesus. He looks to me like Jesus should-- human, not like some ideally handsome Frenchman with long flowing golden locks and far too many ribs.
