Did you try using a 2d Image of a realistic firework? Fireworks can be made by using simple spheres, you just need the right materials/textures to make it look realistic

Poser is a very popular program anywhere. Its more popular for its character animator/creator than its rendering engine. Many people (including myself) who use bryce use poser and vice versa. I do like using bryce more than poser, and i do agree with you, however the reason the poser community is bigger than the bryce community is simply because of the "character/figure" element of poser.

Radial Light increases render time, especially 6. The timer works like this Days:Hours:Minutes:Seconds What Resolution are you rendering on? The Higher the res is, the more time it will take to render.
