in order to save the bvh file to the pose library, you'll need to apply the bvh to a figure, then save it

to add the animated pose to your pose library, open the pose folder you want it in, and click the checkmark at the bottom to add it, when you get the Save Frames dialog box, check Multi frame animation, then enter the frame numbers you want to save (1 to 30, 15-105, ect.) hope that answers your question :)

besides the number of bones, it shouldn't be to difficult compared to any other figure, not sure what your after, but if you want to bend the joints without deforming the mesh on the joining body part (more mechanical than organic bend) the easiest way that I've found is to put a "joint bone" in beteen each section, with no mesh asigned to them. if it's a different problem your facing, perhaps a specific example would help get an answer for you good luck :)

only a couple ideas, double check to make sure the Cast shadows box is checked under Render/ Render Options, if it is, check the properties of each light, to see if Cast Shadow is checked, and the Shadow dial for the light has some sort of value if all is alright, try looking at the scene in the shadow lite camera veiw to see how it should be projecting a shadow hope that's helpful :)

turn the IK on for the arms, then perent both hands to the staff, move the staff to move the arms may need to do some minor tweeking to the arms, depending on the movement

depending on what result your after, if render/motion blur doesn't give you the desired result, you can set up your scene, run up the counter a few frames, then position the parts you want blurred, then render that frame and then motion blur it, it will take some expearamenting, but it works :)

you can add the frames, then open the animation pallet and grab the movements where you want the break to be and drag them to the end of the timeline, or if you just want to repeat the same movement again, copy it, and paste it at the end in the new unused frames hope that answers your question :)

to rotate the parts seperatly, you'll need to add bones, or adjust the rotation center point on the props you spawned

I generaly do all four walls, each with seperate materials so any of them can be made transpearant depending on the needs, less forced camera angles that way :)
