I haven't had any issues using V4.2 alongside V4.1 and V4.0 - no I didn't read the lengthy you must do x, y and z to install this new version. I installed the new version to a deaktop folder with the Poser executable copied in and then moved her from there to my V4 Runtime and all works tickety-boo.
First thing I did on loading her was slap all the morphs in and then resave the cr2, the one thing I liked about the original release was those morphs were preloaded. Not done anything with her yet except render some of the male textures for a friend that was trying to make their mind up which to get.
Just more Daz hoopla for something that isn't that big a deal. I only really buy ther ein sales now but even that amounts to a substantial amount more than I spend here. For a time RDNA got the most of my budget but since they all but dropped G2 support I buy nothing there apart from the odd Real Deal.

There is also a thriving trade in in-game items for Silkroad Online:

It is likely to be payment for in-game items that is being made to this rather oddly named company rather than for access to the server.

Seems to be a known issue with this particular game server:

I have ones far longer than that, I think the filename length limits are for earlier versions of Poser when running on a MAC but I'm not 100% sure.

Oh it does indeedy, the bad news is they would certify NaySayGuy in about 2 seconds flat and he's spend the rest of his days in an institute.

If you don't mind working with Stephanie Petite, or doing a conversion from her to your favoured figure, then Elor Once Dark has a fabulous set over at Daz that always makes me think of The Matrix (although some people say it is more Underworld).

Levius also supplied some of his photo resource poacks to the 3D world magazine for inclusion in their coverdisc; they ahve full commercial rights granted as well which is handy. I can't remember the issue numbers now but might be worth checking the back issues.

Yup NHS = National Health Service which is supposedly free healthcare.
In practice if you are working then a percentage of your wage is taken every month that is called National Insurance of which a proportion goes towards the "welfare system" and a proportion goes towards paying for healthcare. It is only truely free if you do not pay or have never paid National Insurance. Sorry about the digression but I couldn't help it ;o)

I think it is purely the images problem that is causing this character to pop in and out and nothing untoward or "fishy".
The thumb looked very enticing I must say but the promos weren't showing when I saw her so despite Mariny's review I didn't dare take the leap to buy. Hope the vendor gets it sorted out because my interest was piqued.

I use both versions interchangeably depending on which one has the skin or the outfit I want to use in that particular render. To me there doesn't seem to be much of a difference if I'm being honest.

That is so not going to happen stepdad - I like a comfy bed far too much and that is where I get my best ideas, even if they do soemtimes stop me from sleeping because I keep expansing and expanding on them in my mind.
Thread: What people like and don't like in Promo images..I know there was a thread aroun | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - One other I can add to the list may sound a bit petty.. But many industry merchants have English as a second language and sometimes the promo wording can be more than a little confusing or off putting.
That doesn't bother me half so much as nothing there at all except an endless stream of pictures.
Even if all it says is along the lines of:
8 textures for xyz outfit.
Works in Poser versions xyz
Works in Daz studio
I'm happy but it is getting more and more coomon to see absolutely nothing in there, or worse than nothing is "beautiful textures".

I tend to sleep and cross my fingers. This year was the first yeat I didn't spend November to February panicing because I had no ideas and I put that down to the fact I took the pressure off myself to create something but shifted the emphasis onto just having fun with it. Sure there's a lot of dross but it keeps your hand in and the muse entertained and occassionally you hit on a good idea.

My pet peeves are things that should be fixed in ANY render and that is pokethrough of hair into the mesh of the clothing, figure or props. Drives me batty almost consistently that one does.
Never ending scrolling promo pages, if you need more than the 4 slots allocated then please hyperlink thumbnails and give us a break from interminable scrolling.
Postworking on promotional store images, compositing yes, you HAVE to but postwork should be a complete no-no, excepting painted hair on a character or clothing promo but no to filter effects and hue/brightness adjustments..
Lack of shadows in any promotional image puts me off, spend the extra time to render something that looks like it has a little depth and like you actually care about it. If you care I might just.
Little to no promo text drives me mad as well. Do i need another product to use your item? What does the item do? What exactly is included? Tell me up front don't make me guess from the promo images or pull up the read me in hope that the file list will enlighten me - you'd be amazed how many times I have passed by a product that looked moderately interesting in the promos because there was little to no information entered in the promo text slot.
