They look great. This thread prompted me to learn how to use Master Parameter. The manual's example was very good.

Thread: Colored transparency | Forum: Poser 13
Thanks for this. It was fun to learn. Never knew how to do it before. I gave it a try with the Physical Root, transparency at 1, and checked colored transparency. I used spotlights at 3000%, shadows on, and also emissions at 1 to brighten the windows.

Happened to me, too. I unclicked the Use Cache in the Render Settings and the problem went away.

Nerd, will the tutorial be here? Or an update to the manual? Or a product for purchase?

Thread: Crash data | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I use P13. I find that when I click too fast (like I save a scene and then click on File/New too quickly) I crash. Happened in P12, too. And when Poser is looking for a texture file that's not where it's expecting it, I remind myself to patiently wait to avoid a crash. But it's all worth it with the incredibly fast renders!

Thanks, nerd. Sounds terrific! I'm always using the morph tool and use mirror all the time. Flipped seems very useful, too.

Thread: Difference between Poser 12 and 13? | Forum: Poser 13
I got a new machine a month or so ago and had upgraded to Poser 13. Render preset OptiX High is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fast. I couldn't use it on my previous computer, so I can't compare, but my renders are faster than they've ever been (and I've used Poser since version 4).

I buy some things at Poserworld occasionally. As previously said, it's mostly older stuff but I can use CrossDresser to convert V3/M3 clothes to newer figures.

Thread: Poser 13.3.686 Update Released | Forum: Poser 13
VedaDalsette posted at 9:17 AM Sat, 16 March 2024 - #4482571
I just did another test. I took LaFemme in Poser 13 and added Daniel Hair. I then created a hair morph and saved the figure to my Poser 13 runtime and another save to my Poser 12 runtime (that's where I saved my original problem morph CR2). I opened a new scene, added the two LF CR2s. They both had my hair morph working correctly. So, as far as my original problem goes, maybe my pmd got munged somehow (although I had saved the CR2 under a new name, which means a new pmd, and the morph still didn't work).Gonna enter this at posersoftware.com, I think. I updated to 13.3.686 yesterday. In my scene, I added a morph to Moira Hair (used the Pull morph to push hair under her hat) . Saved the Dawn with the hair as a CR2. When I opened another scene and added the character, my Moira hair morph didn't work. I use the Morph Tool all the time, btw. I deleted the morph and created it again. Saved the figure again. Closed Poser. Today, I added that figure to a scene. Again, my hair morph didn't work. Recreated it again. Saved the figure and added her to a new scene. Once again, the hair morph didn't work. I haven't done testing on other figures/props yet. I wanted to see if anyone else has this problem. Thx.
Until I have this morph problem with another figure, I won't enter a ticket in posersoftware.com. BTW, my workaround for the original problem morph was to use the morph tool to create a prop of the morphed hair and to hide the styled Moira hair with the nonworking morph. I want to use the latter when she's not wearing her hat.

Thanks, Ohki. Good to know. I've started to play with Blender a few times but haven't stuck with it, because I preferred to work on stories. One of these days!

primorge, Mudbox looks really cool. Thanks for the tip. I'll look into it.
noxiart, I've done searches in Daz before and never found these. Thanks!
randym77, my searches here never brought up those pantyhose before. I prefer to buy from Rendo when I can, so I'll go with this for now. I can use Crossdresser to convert to LF and Dawn.
I appreciate all your help!

Thanks. I could never find stockings with seams. I have no experience with the Genesis characters. Your last link will work for V4, but it looks like first I have to buy http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/highfashion-essentials-superhose-for-v4-a4-g4/72784. A review for that one says it has seams but they're down the side of the leg, not down the back. Of course, I'd feel better spending $18 on a full body texture with seams than two stocking textures, most of which I'll never use.

Thread: how to fix holes in the mesh in poser?, thanks in advance | Forum: Poser 13
I always have to "sew" clothes. When I see something like that and have determined it's not a normals issue, I do a wireframe view of the prop and pull out the morph tool. I use the single point brush and reduce the magnitude to .1 or lower. Then, in the prop, I pull up a vertice of the hole to cover it. Sometimes, I have to do with more than one vertice. Sometimes, also, I have use the flatten brush (a small one) to "iron" the polygons together. Of course, this is just for small gaps like the one you've shown.
