Thread: Printing Images | Forum: Bryce
I never thought about using EPS. I've used PDF for all my school projects up till now, taking them to Kinko's as needed (low file size and good quality there). 300 DPI is an industry standard and usually looks the best. Colors are a pain in the ass, and if possible convert to CMYK in Photoshop. CMYK is the colors printers use, Cyan Magenta Yellow and Black. (who the hell represented black with a 'k'?)
Thread: It's my turn to gripe! | Forum: Bryce
I have a 1400 x 1050 monitor, my laptop will yell at me if I set it at anything else, of course I have cable internet as well. But some images still go beyond the scope of my screen. What I do (since I'm so crafty and stuff) is take the image and copy it into a new Internet Explorer (if I really want to see it). IE resizes the image automatically. Thank you for mentioning a final image size. Us cable users sometimes forget about having to wait for a pic to download. 200kb sounds reasonable, especially at 800 x 600. Anything less than 800 x 600 gets a little hard to make out details however.
Thread: National Novel Writing Month | Forum: Writers
Well shoot, I just started writing a novel last week. Maybe I'll have to start a new one.

I guess the trick is a better camera. My camera doesn't have a manual focus (how many times have I wished for that?) nor can I set the F stop. I'm not sure if it even has an option for the remote. I do have a tripod however! ;) I'm a complete novice at photography, I just enjoy good photos.
My fiancee and I were following her parents through Harrisburg, PA on the 4th and we could see the fireworks from the highway, so she grabbed my camera and tried to take several photos. The first one she took she never turned the flash off (not fun while you're driving). Her parents saw the flash and pulled off the road to let us shoot. She took several photos but because of the camera's delay before it actually shoots the image we had a lot of empty sky or smoke trails. Later on we tried to take some photos of the capitol building in Harrisburg, but they were coming out really blurred. Can I put a new camera on my public wishlist?
She put the images on the web for her HTML programming class, and I think they are still there. She was proud of them, and I still don't know why. Don't tell her I put this link here.

How do you shoot fireworks? I tried it this year, as well as some night shots of the city and everything turned out blurry. Of course I was using a digital camera (hard to do fireworks with) which may have been half the problem. There must be some special setting I can use to get nightshots. I did turn the flash off, but it didn't help.
Thread: MEATBALL crashing !!!! | Forum: Bryce
It may be a memory conflict. I can't have Photoshop and Bryce running at the same time for very long. (of course my computer is getting rather old for all this)

The diaper in Poser 4 is for some ungodly reason hidden among the women's clothes. Don't ask me why, I don't know.
Thread: Lonliness Reworked.... | Forum: Bryce
In the original I liked the way the trees leaned inward into the picture, but the second one they look a lot more natural. It's kind of a mixed result. In one way it is better, and in another way I still like the original.
Thread: PRO-RENDER pre-release images now online. | Forum: Bryce
Oh hell, I'm on the bandwagon as well, as long as he continues to support his offer of a free version of Pro-Render. (I'm broke)

Drac, we are dealing with a professional marketer here (without a website;) Of course there is nothing new, he's just creating hype. Check it out, he even clicked the nudity link to get more people to check it out. Pumeco, is there a release date yet?
Thread: PRO-RENDER pre-release images now online. | Forum: Bryce
Pumeco, do you have a website where you work from? It would be a good way to host the final files of Pro-Render and display the images you've posted. Sorry, but paging through a 3-mile long thread just gets tedious after a while. If not, there are quite a few gifted web designers here on Renderosity, such as . . . ahem . . . myself ;)

If I convinced my fiancee that I'd have good reason to do it I think she might actually let me have some extra computer time. (Not like I'm not at renderosity all day while I'm at work.) I registered for a new freesite last week and haven't had any time to make anything for it. Every time I sit at my computer at home I think about Bryce. I have lots of spare time, its just that my fiancee won't let me use it!
