Lots of work involved, would have taken twice as long if I did not sort help on how to render properly - in these forums! Nowadays I am trying to think more about what the end renders are going to look like, rather than just going on a mass render !
The biggest Problem that I had while making these animations was that I was just bunging loads of materials together and not really thinking about the rendering consequences.Anything I do in futue I am going to try and set up right the 1st time! .... Just wish I had 20 or so computers in a render farm ;-)
Thread: Graphics tablets - recommendations/suggestions needed | Forum: Photoshop
I have an Aiptek A4 size 1400u it does the job for what I need it too, however the Wacoms are supposed to be top quality .. and I would love one but cannot justify spending more than £80 on a tablet (bought it about 3 years ago) I did have an A5 tablet and found that too small so definatly recommend A4 . Hope helps

Amazing film, 1st 3d one I have seen too I was in awe ....... my computer running 24/7 will take almost a million years to render something like that! ;)

Yes nothing I do ever has a script so randomness is abundant! Would like to animate something with a storyline soon though, that is the plan for my next project. Any script ideas are very welcome. Glad you liked it!

All I can say is I spent £300 ish on poser pro a year ago, and Poser 8, which I spent £150 ish on a few months ago is ten times better, less bugs, more features and way better rendering. I have uninstalled poser pro and glad to see the back of it.

Don't buy poser 7 or pro thats my advice, nothing but hassle, poser 8 is "best bang for the buck".... much much quicker still full of bugs... but I found the other two were absolutly writhing with them!

Gill brooks guide works fine.... only problem is when I render an animation imported from poser 8 the image does not move it just repeats frame 1's positions on every frame ;-(

Yes it uses 100 % of all cpus available (like any good renderer should!) I think the most Poser pro used was about 50 %. Rendering is much, much faster there are mixed opinions but mine is that it is about 3 times as fast (depending on settings but this is a good guideline) and with better lighting. Only problems I am having is when I import into Vue 7 the animations I create in poser seem to render as single still frames ... the scenery animates but figure remains motionless (really doing my head in but I am sure there is a solution). I wouldn't even consider using poser pro for rendering anything and used Vue for it all... now that poser 8 has got half decent render times I am begining to favour it more I don't feel the quality is as good as can be produced in Vue but until I can get Vue to animate my figures this will certainly do.! It has not crashed on me yet... What I find strange is poser pro is still £350, I got this for about £150 and is better in every way, Poser Pro was like a beta for this. Content management is massivly improved.
I must add I bought a 3d Connexion device http://www.3dconnexion.com/ and it makes the poser experience absolutly awsome!

Video Card helps massivly when setting up a scene, have noticed huge differences as I have upgraded through various cards. .... but no help when rendering
i7 processor all the way, poser 8 takes advantage of multithreading, there are 8 threads to use in an i7 compared to 4 in a standard quad processor . Renders are way quicker than any of the previous incarnations of poser you will need 4-6 gig of ram - only seen poser 8 use about 5 gig max (uses much less in previous versions)

Sorry it is Xstream... I always render as a PNG I have not noticed a transparency option.... not in front of Vue atm but I take it is in render settings?
Before when trying I just clicked land, water etc to remove them from scene and background was black.
