I hope I am not offending another rosity member by saying this, but, if this album cover were in the gallery here I would give it a Hmmmmmm. It definitely needs some fixing. Default lighting, plastic looking people, and all the joints are "broken". Sheesh! And to think of all the talented ppl here that could produce so much better than that. I hope they didn't pay for it.

Thank you Fyrene and GothicAngel for hosting such a lovely contest. Your Scenic Adventures series is just so beautiful. Congratulations to Larissa, Kayjay97, and all other entrants. I am so thrilled to be in 2nd place. A very sweet suprise indeed, as all of the entries were top notch! Jane.

That is just sad. WHY? Why would anyone want to recieve accolade for an image they didn't create? I will never understand why they do it. I am so sorry it happened Rhiannon. Ilona is right you are the one and only. Your style and talent go virtually unmatched, and only an idiot would dare to do what he has done.
Thread: Most important element of a poser render/image | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
alot of it is lighting. Most actually. But I also think that colors are extremely important. I am not saying every render has to be colorful though. What I look for are complimenting colors. A brilliant royal blue dress can be beautiful if the scenery supports it, but mix it in with muted earthy tones, and it just sticks out. Another thing that I think makes a render look really sharp is when a figure, scenery, and props look like they belong together. A modern dressed vivky holding a gothic candelabra in the middle of a sunny flowering field just does not fare well with me.

Oh yeah, make it somewhere that I can bring my dog. I never go anywhere without her. Psssst. - Disneyland has doggysitters, but I live right next door anyway.

How about Sunny Southern California. The weather is always perfect here, everything is beach adjacent, and hollywood - need I say more. With big companies like pixar (and a dozen other of the sort)out here who knows who we could snag for a guest speaker at our convention. You know, disneyland will close for special parties if they are big enough, and the Anahiem convention center is right next door - as well as several hotels, each large enough to hold the entire renderosity community. SoCal gets my vote!!!!

perhaps I should have asked for you to clarify your opinion, instead of having a knee-jerk reaction to your comment (which, IMHO, seemed to come off quite sharp). I clearly understand your point, and it is a valid point indeed. I would not wish to harass members any more than you would. I cannot speak personally for gothic angel either, but I am pretty sure harassment and witch hunts were not on his agenda. I get the idea that he was just telling us to beware. Like i said, I certainly can see the downside of his plan too, an to some degree, agree with you. Thieves will take what they want regardless of security measures imposed - so why alienate our members? On the other hand, I can understand why he (or anyone) would feel that drastic measures were needed. Some artists here make a living off of their images. Having them stolen is to have all their hard work and livelyhood stolen as well. I would certainly feel rattled enough to think up a plan like his. In the end, it may not be the best idea, but at least he offered it to us to think about. With much respect to you as an exceptional artist as well as your opinion, I would be interested in knowing what you might propose (aside form not posting at all or just "chilling" because we can't stop it anyway). Jane.

Geez, he was just offering his ideas on protecting his, his partners, and everyone else's artwork here. I just found out yesterday that one of my images was stolen (and it was a memorial pic - very emotionally hurtful)so, perhaps it is still a tender subject. Bshafer, your point is valid, and maybe it is not our business - until we get ripped off by another member of renderosity. Then it is our business. Although GothicAngels idea does have the downfalls that Spit, you, and Niles have so politely pointed out, his concern for the community is still well meant, and I for one am glad that someone actually cares. Please do not take this message the wrong way, I have much respect for anyone willing to voice their opinion (knowing it may or may not be well recieved) But telling someone - including me- to "chill out and quit being so paranoid" may not have been the best way to present it.

Mr. Angel lol I don't think that sounds terribly crude. I've had the same thing happen to me several times, and have wondered the very same thing. It does not seem unreasonable to accept or deny being added to someones favorite's list, as long as renderosity an break it to them gently. 400 artists does seem a bit extreme though (oh! Those ebots!)

I am so pissed, and hurt. This person actualluy had the gall to rip off a memorial pic, and didn't even bother to remove "I miss you grandfather", with my signature. Of all the pics in my gallery - Why that one! (not that they should have taken any!!!!). This has to be removed!!!!!
