Thread: huge landscapes | Forum: Carrara
o.k. i try it otherways: for example: i would like to build a city. houses, skygrabbers, streets cars and so on. i would like to fly through the streets of this city. Now the problems happen: when i rise the camera, the camera sees the horizon, so i could cover this with terrains but this slows down the computer. it would even be nice to have the sea along the horizon and on the other side something like a light forrest. later in the movie it could be possible to fly over this forrest... second problem: in would kind of measure would anybody recommend? i worked with a measure of 1:10 (1m = 0,1m)because the camera does not see the things right when i really use real measures. or are there camera settings that are to prefer? so if anybody tries out this kind of movie, please tell me, what kind of tricks you use to make it "real"... thanks a lot benjamino

i do like it too, anything grooves is a plugin... but i am asking the following: it is indeed nice to do landscapes and do the borders with mountains. but are there any good tricks to do alndscapes that really look good, without dooing the borders by mountains? for example when you overfly mountains or when one looks out to the sea? or how could one make a city that does not end in a flat... and on and on questioning...

Thread: Particle emitter problem...or bug? | Forum: Carrara

Thread: Particle emitter problem...or bug? | Forum: Carrara
and last but not least.... persuming, the emitter works... how could it be possible to start with an emitting emitter that does not grow. for example: a fpountain that always works; scene starts, fountain sparkels, scene goes on, fountain sparkels, and on and on. no growing, no increasing. does that wor a way. just if the emitter works naturally... thanks a lot for beeing patient with somebody very disappointed... benjamino

hi @ all i am sure this sounds like a really newbie - question... (carrara 2) when i place a particle emitter in the scene, the particle emitter winsows opens. as far, as good. now I change the settings, for example duration, speed, angle, emitting range and all that stuff. I look to the preview, it looks like i would like it to look. i go back to the scene window and: there is nothing at all. just the emitter , and no particles. sometimes, there are a few particles when i scrubb the time once or twice, and sometimes there are some particles when i scale the emitter itself. sometimes when i do so, and do render later, it renders the animation, but only some particles appear, they dont move at all, some other appear, that dont move... i feel very sad about it. whats wrong there? do the emitters need different keyframes? and how should this work?and if so, why does the emiter window not display the changing during animation time? Absolutly desolated and thanksfull for every reply yours benjamino
