Ok, here's something interesting. I used the program mkobj to name the groups. When I look at the figure face on in mkobj. the l_shin object is on my right (as it should be since it's his left shin, and we're facing each other). However, when I pull the figure into poser, and look at him in the pose room the l_shin object is on my left. I drew the l_bones on my right (which should have been his left). What's up with that?

I'll give that a shot. Thanks. I know my names are different. I think he has fewer body parts than the traditional poser figure though, and once I make a few poses of him and export the objs I don't plan to do much if anything with him in poser. Thanks.

I would: Because it might have usable documentation. I (probably) won't: Becuase I'm sceptical that it will have usable documentation. All I really need it for is rigging/posing, and I can do that in blender which is free. Blender sucks too, but at least the suck to dollar ratio is favorable. :(

I replied to the noreply return address asking if p6 would come with documentation that didn't suck. Sorry for the negativity.

Thanks odeathoflife. I will check those out this evening. I found an index of geep tuts at http://www.ebonshire.net/tut-geep/index.php. I will also look through those as well, but if anybody can recommend specific tuts (as listed on the page or with links if elsewhere) I would really appreciate it. In rhino I can create groups and name them, will that do the trick? I will take a look at UVMapper. Any suggestions on how to turn it into something conforming? Or recommendations on tutorials that talk about that? I've looked through the manual but that's not very useful. Thanks.

It doesn't matter to me. If it's easier to break it up into legs (pants) torso (shirt) etc... then that's fine with me. I noodled around with it a little bit and managed to get an export obj to import into poser without crashing, so that's a good sign. I wasn't sure what to do with it next though. Thanks.

I searched for "geep" and came up with more links than I could possibly investigate. Is there a collection of threads that contains the tutorials? Or a better way to search?
