There are various books available about programming for Windows. I sympathize with your puzzlement :: after I had programmed for mainframes and MSDOS for donkey's years, where everything happens in one succession, transferring to Windows and all its messages and windows etc and registerable window-functions and qwertyuiop alone knows what was like knowing how to drive a car and suddenly being sat down at the controls of a UFO. - The download zipfiles for my utilities all contain the source forms (for Borland C++ v4.52). - Apart from that, it is a matter of learning how to program in C++.
Thread: underwater | Forum: Bryce
She seems to write as if she was using Bryce 2. Was she relying on the "any object can radiate light that can illuminate other things" property? I heard somewhere that Bryce 2 had such a property, but Bryce 3 dropped it because it made rendering take too long or something like that. Will her method of deleting the sun and instead using a "square light" work with my Brye 3.1?
Thread: My frogman's rebreather and scuba diver models in action | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Where it looks like the patrol frogman grabbed the arrested man's mask :: he actually did! :: Put hand in place to grab mask. Parent snorkel to mask. Parent mask to hand. Move arm.

OK, this picture is a mongrel :: the men are Poser renders, the background was made by Bryce, and the two were superposed by a 2D graphics package that I wrote.
Thread: How about support for plug-ins for Bryce. | Forum: Animation
If we have radiosity. it better be optional. Radiosity is expensivISSIMO in render time!!!
Thread: Using Poser to Build New Figures | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
One mix and match that I heard of, back before Poser 4 came out, was the top half of the Nude Man on the bottom half of the Casual Man, add a helmet, result is a building site workman with a bare chest as often in hot weather. But he had to do the ocomposing in Bryce.
Thread: Poser won't start on my PC - it says a .dll file is missing. | Forum: Poser Technical
Oh Gawd, not another Poser 4 bug. Why can't Poser come with its own copies of these necessary systems dll's just in case they are missing in the user's system? Thank goodness I stayed with Poser 3.
Thread: Alterations to my models | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
In the scuba diver model, all his kit uses the same texture map because none of them's UV coordinates overlap. In an exported .OBJ version, my MANCONS utility can make the man into one big group, so that in Bryce he can be easily isolated and textured separately from his kit.
Thread: Poser 3 bug : won't read a .PZ3 file which it just created! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This created 2 versions of scubadiver.pz3 : the laptop version and the desktop version. And about an hour later the Poser 3 on my laptop successfully read both versions!! What's going on!!?!
Thread: Help!! I wanna do wrinkles too (Poser figure clothing folds) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
To me, the king of all places where wrinkles are needed to loook realistic is an old-type hardhat diving suit (those old heavy canvas things with a copper helmet that looks like some sort of Victorian spacesuit.)
Thread: Bryce 4 bug list | Forum: Bryce
Now that this update has been out for a bit, how good is it? What bugs remain uncured? What if any new bugs does it bring in? I remember all the bad publicity about the Poser 3.1 upgrade!
Thread: Crash and burn... | Forum: Poser Technical
Oh no, more bad news about Poser 4 bugs. When is the update (Poser 4.1 or whatever it's called) due out?
Thread: A Poser 5 idea : immovable joints? | Forum: Poser Technical
Bryce can select materials from a list. But I still must choose an area to apply that material to, and in Bryce the only sort of area that I can choose to apply a material to is a group or an object or some combintion of these. And when Poser exports to Bryce, each articulating segment becomes a group,
Thread: A Poser 5 idea : immovable joints? | Forum: Poser Technical
But I still need to isolate the wheeltrim or bumper in Bryce to apply the chrome-plate material. And preferably without the overheads of having an unwanted fully developed articulation between e.g. the wheeltrim and its wheel.
Thread: HELP WITH POSER CUSTOM FIGURES | Forum: Poser Technical
(1) Who is "the Evil One"? (2) I once needed to change a figure's head (to help someone to make the Grey alien who is in the Props Guild), and I did that by editing the .OBJ file and then pulling vertexes about at the join to weld the join properly.
