When I mentioned my flamethrower model on the above thread, LoboUK and Pack wrote as if they didn't know of the model, although it has been in the Poser Fun Stuff a long time. That seems to show that at dialup line speed people haven't time to wade through the whole list at the slow display speed caused by its current format. Thus, as the amount of entries in the Poser Fun Stuff has now topped a thousand, there is need for an option to get the entries listed more compactly than the current 12 entries a page. It would be useful if there was an option to have the desired entries displayed as closely packed as possible, titles only, and each title is clickable and leads to a full display of that entry.

Very good point, I know it's hard to find things now, especially since there are so many people posting things in big blocks. Heck I remember a few months back someone uploaded something like 12 textures that day. So it's not like it was in the "old days" where there would be maybe 2-4 new posts. Although you can turn the tumbnails off, but then again, how do you know what it is? Sure you have the title, but what does it look like? It would be nice to have a better format, either smaller pictures, or just let it be able to display as many as the user wants. I mean, this is a slightly easier system than the one the PFO uses now, but it would be nice to have a more dynamic system. Roy, Jack, any ideas?

What I wanted was the current format, plus a user-selectable option to have instead of it a closely-typed list of titles only and each title is clickable and leads to a full display of that entry.

That sounds like a good idea, but it would be nicer to have as many as the user wants, even in the current format. Instead of just 12 a page, why not 20? or 50? or 100? I mean, the 12 is good if you have a slow connection and graphics are slow, but if you have a fast computer and a fast connection, then why not as many as you like? I have seen other sites where they ask how many entries per page you want. The list would make it easier and would probably be easier to impliment. It it's kinda like the PFOs last system of posting, you had the title and the author, but had a choice of either downloading it or going to a full description and then downloading it.

• If so, please titles (and perhaps authors) closely typeset in a small font without much ornamentation and table framework etc, so there is as much as possible in a screenful. Please, black writing on white screen to make it easy to print it out :: not everybody can afford the phone bill to keep his computer online on the WWW while he wades through all this matter on a dialup line. - An ability to switch on and off whether to have the right green column occupying screen space would be useful here.

Thank you for letting me take up your time. - Black type on white background would make it easier to print it out on a printer. - If in the compact form you get rid of the green column of links and the blank margins, and use a smaller font, it should be possible to fit each entry on fewer lines of text and less screen height. - Displaying the notes is useful.

It would be useful if the Compact and Printer-ready modes would be put also on the Bryce Fun Stuff and the Renderotica Fun Stuff. (I have no use for porn, but sometimes stuff turns up there which is useful for non-erotic pictures, e.g. I used one of its "dungeon chains" modified in an underwater scene as an old ship's mooring.
