oh well, i really wish ya could have days with 40 hours, for i, as a professional artist annex web-developer have a very busy schedule filled with deadlines and so therefor don't have much time to comment around on everyones amazing pieces of art ... i am tempted to leave constructive comments here and there who are mentioned in some hot list but if i get private messages back like "thanks for your sarcastic comments" or "ya can see at yer own sucking gallery that you don't have any interest for pieces of art" then i stop bothering and throw myself at my own work ... [i don't even have time to create graphical presentations for diverse game-developers, they just will have to wait or rely on others] i don't create fractals made out of formulas, i design them and they aren't made by coincidence but a combination of settings, which i love to assemble together in photoshop which takes me hours of work personally, i don't really care whether i have 50 comments or just 10, but i know for a fact that those 10 really mean of what is said in the comment, otoh i have great pleasure in seeing how many people buy my artwork every month, that gives me a much more satisfaction than a hot list, but not everyone is blessed with such a privilege Barbara and Nick created in cooperation with a few addicted volunteers an open door for newbees and potential artists in this community, and they are doing a very good professional job time to finish up and back to work again :P see ya around and have a nice day/night Harmen

lol Matt, they V even without looking at the piece, i am glad i ain't in the middle of this hilarious self-destruction of a fractal gallery, thats why i moved to a much more quieter gallery :-P and only upload 'junk' here ROFL

yeah, one day, IE makes troubles uploading, the other Netscape, so i use 6 different browsers sometimes for rendero sometimes ... firefox is mostly without a problem, just try the others sometimes too

think it would help to have the ability to have the voting system off, you have the choice to take comments and rating off as well, why not the voting ... cause the whole thing is a farce if ppl want to have their images in the hot20 and have their ego caressed, they can leave the voting system ON ... if not they can have it OFF ya can't solve a problem which keeps everyone busy by just saying * Well, I still say more members voting would help :) * think we need to elect someone more accurate and more artist minded to be a moderator... i vote for Matt smile

your absolutely right Matt ... it's a list of popularity, not of designs ... even when the most popular person made the worst design in the world, he gets in there...

i have tested it also, Matt, i didn't comment for a whole month, and they decrease their comments, oh he didnt comment on mine, so i wont comment on his...

oh i made trouble in the copyright section, so it made me impopular, lets not comment on his work nomore

i made trouble in some other site, so i got banned, lets forget this big mouth

i have several warnings on my a$$ but that won't stop me for spamming my opinion

and the things ya do for others, well thats less appreciated

this whole gallery stuff is a big soap-opera, got to order some more boxes of tissues, for then i can wipe my tears laffing my a$$ off

but at least i am honest, and enjoy the freedom of speach, and i ain't gonna sneak a discussion into an IM because someone demands me to do that...

well ... i don't have a problem with anyone here, i just have a problem with your description and decision whether something is a fractal or not... and so do others seem to have that same problem with your decison to move it anywhere where YOU please, i was contacted by a moderator from another gallery, suggesting to move a design to a different gallery, NOT just moving without negotiation, like you do it is up to the designer himself to decide where it should be uploaded or not, not YOU, so if you at FIRST suggest something and then discuss it, instead of JUST moving it to somewhere to where YOU think it should be if you do as you please, you will see that artists just move away from here and stay out of trouble someplace else now you run the scepter, and your wrong in doing that this is a community which holds many people together, and if you run around like a policeman or referee and just make decisions without negotiating first, then you make yourself very unpopular to other members learn from it... and i aint gonna put this in your IM for it is a public matter and as far for my design, your wrong!!! but thats fine, you are just the moderator... have a good day Harmen

you have to be an artist to see what this design is all about, it's an imagination, an illusion ... the text 'emptiness...' isn't really there ... so you shouldn't see that either if you don't see that, then you have no imagination, and don't know the value of this design, not know what's meant by the artist if you say there is only text, then you can not feel what it means emptiness... is backwards, it means it's an odd world, ya should be happy with what you have, but you can't, you feel emptiness, no love anymore, no happiness, just anger to what they have done to you to feel empty but guess you don't feel it, for all you say: it's text, not a fractal, so it doesn't belong in this FRACTAL gallery!!!

well you should take a look at Urchin's gallery, and move quite a few of them. He has designs with the focus on the object, not the fractal... But you don't wanna do that, cause then he will lose all his votes. My design is the ILLUSION of emptiness... It's made out of a fractal. If people don't write anything under it with which it's made, you have a big problem.

well i will upload an image on the 12th and we'll see what they do with it... if you make an object out of fractals, then the focus is on the object, not the fractal... if that theory is right, then they should move all fractals which are called objects!!!

the mods have their own rules, their decision whether something is focussed on the fractal or the subject, is dependable on the popularity of the designer
