I usually send my stuff out to be printed... and yes you want 300dpi for a goodquality print.  I can't say for sure on large scale with c5, just because I'm still working on images for poster prints (I like to send out batches of ten) but I was printing some stuff through a photo place that uses fujifilm paper, (it was walmart photo) and I printed a 5x7 of two c5 images I had done back in Dec.  and they turned out wonderfully.

Hopefully someone can help you. As much as I love AG... i'm not all that versed in it. Love your pussy willows though... they look so real.

Carrara automatically scales the imported poser figure. I've still got the file should I decide to revist it. I went with dynamic hair because the hair obj I was using had some areas that didn't look as realistic as the rest of the hair. But dynamic hair has never been a favorite of mine. I'm glad I didn't buy transposer2 soley for dynamic hair...

ren_mem... you're onto something with the shadows... not sure why? I turned on indirect lighting... made no difference. Turned AA to best and OA and SA to .5 pixels... no difference. Turned shadows off on both lights... the hair looked nasty color wise, but it got rid of the artifacts... so I think I'm going to play around with buffering the shadows and see what happens.

no shadow buffer... will go try your suggestions now... and let you know.

it's dynamic hair... so no trans... plus without using skylight or indirect light... you can't check the lighting options... or interpolation. I've had that problem before with poly hair. And those suggestions help, but it doesn't with dynamic hair.

for the one building I exported it was fine. I was willing to take the plunge for ten dollars, despite my extremly limited income... for me I think it was a matter of wanting something easier to do just an interior. I use silo for modeling my interiors at the moment, because it does have a system of measure... and it exports and imports into Carrara fine. Christina

I tried the walmart version... and it exports fine to 3ds which can then be imported to Carrara... I personally wasn't impressed, but then I'm not wanting buildings... I was trying for a room... but it can be done, and I'm sure with retexturing it would be fine. I've got a friend who may be buying the sw off me, because she needs something that will do a masonry blueprint for a house.

Oh... my fault... I'm on Win XP... and having the particle problem... so that's not a MAC thing. Just to clarrify. :) Christina
