It's hard when you love a pet and then find they are going to be gone soon. Think of the wonderful life and all of the love he has had since he was rescued. You and your roommate did a wonderful thing for Joxer.

Thanks to Hope, Malysse and Fivecat for snapping me out of the negative funk this thread has become. There were some legitimate points brought up on both sides. But damn this thing just goes on and on..... nobody getting any happier. I was tempted at times to jump in and throw some more gas on the fire. This kind of thing just sucks you in and takes the joy out of you. But this last bit reminds me of good things:shared interest, community helpfulness. Being apart of this site is like a marriage if it's not working out then leave. Don't stay and hate the other person. Leave and be glad you don't have to deal with situation anymore. Or stay and work it out but what ever you don't make yourself miserable about shit you have no control over.
Hey Fivecat thanks for putting me onto some good reading material. I checked out Hugh Howey on amazon. He has a huge amount of positive reviews. So I bought the Wool series 1-5. As soon as I get done with the Iron Druid series I'm gonna give em a go. You ever read any of Larry Niven's stuff? A Mote in God's eye and the Ring World series are really good.
I envy you the first reading of Wool. I also can recommend shift, sand and dust. I love Larry Niven, he was part of what made me love science fiction. Also Gene Wolfe and Isaac Asimov.

As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
And the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting

I'm not surprised to hear you're a romantic at heart. I prefer science fiction. My favorite authors are Hugh Howey and Rosemary Kirstein, although I read all of the usual scifi masters.

May we still ask questions? You mentioned you're a writer. What authors have inspired you, and what are your favorite genres?

@vwd, that is good news! I think having subtitles is a good solution. I could follow along most of the time with your French tutorials, but occasionally it wasn't sufficient. With subtitles I think it would be easier to follow.

I think I can tell you, without errors, that VWD should soon be available on Renderosity. ;-))
Good news to hear!

I agree with MacSavers in that you shouldn't give up on Daz Studio. This would be such a welcome tool in studio if you can do it, and it would be probably more worth your time than a Poser-only script, as Poser already has the cloth room and Studio has that proprietary clothing. If you can animate the strand hair from the two hair tools, that would be even better. I would start a kickstarter campaign for that.

@VirtualWorldDynamics I think your plan is a good compromise, so that those who just want to do static simulations or dynamic simulations for a single image will get to buy it through renderosity, but for those who want the full features, they can buy it from you with paypal. Personally, I have no problem buying through paypal, so I hope everyone doesn't see it as a problem.
You have such a great product and I hope you find a way to get it to everyone who wants it. I still have to test it in Poser 11.
Thread: What Does Art Mean To You....? | Forum: Community Center
Some would say art is whatever the the artist feels is art, others would say art is what evokes a feeling, any feeling, whether revulsion or awe, from the person experiencing it. I would say art is anything from a photo to a watercolor, a sketch, or an oil painting or any other medium that makes you look and study, that draws your eye from one place to another, that makes you think about what the artist intended. The use of color, or texture, or subject; the use of perspective and light, all can make you look at and enjoy a work of art.
