They require only Poser. Mimic makes a pose file that you can import and apply to a model. Someone with windows would have to generate them for you from a .wav file. I have poser so for this project I would supply them. These poses will only animate the lip sinc and things like blinking. The rest of the posing for the scene still has to be done by hand.

Actually DAZ made the models and it is a little sad that the masters didn't take Mimic into account. Vic and Mic were on the scene after Mimic by quite a span so DAZ is to blame. Besides Mimic has tried to be Poser compatible not DAZ compatible. DAZ broke some of the rules with Vic and Mic. Sometimes you have to break the rules to expande capabilities but I find it hard to believe they didn't know to take Mimic into account. I have a FAQ on Mimic on my site and listed here on ROThread: How to make a object poseable tutorial done | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

I model some fairly complex stuff in Lightwave but I'm new to poser. My materials show up nicely in LW but somehow never make it throught the obj to Poser. A tutorial would be very much appreciated. I'd also be happy to host the tutorial.Thread: walking out of dresses | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

BVH only has to do with the bones, joints etc. With mimic you are dealing with morph targets which are not exported. For more on mimic and making mimicable models check out my FAQ. I'll also be posting an update when I get back off vacation in mid Aug.Thread: I want to donate a prop | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

In my experience I use a photo of real lips. In photoshop you can convert your into gray scale and invert the lips to make the texture map. You can also tweek the greyscale black and white points to give the texture more or less contrast.
