Ok, this may be stupid but why don't my characters blink anymore? I've tried them all including the new Vickie 2.0 and the eyes don't blink while they're talking even though it's checked. Any clues to my problem from the Mimic Masters out there? Thanks, Marque

Vickie, Mike and Vickie 2 don't have the morphs named the same as the P3 & P4 figures. The only way I have been able to get them to work right is to spawn new morphs and name them so they are compatible with Mimic. I really wish they would update this program so you could add or delete morphs that it uses. Ed

I have found the same problem and was given the same answer that EdW offers. I also agree with EdW that it is time that the makers of Mimic got off their butts and took care of those of us who purchased their product! They have had more than enough time to update the program to handle the problem. I am extremely, extremely disappointed with LipSinc. They know that users are migrating or have already migrated to Vicki and Michael in large numbers. Yet they ignore us. No real, true support for Vicki and Michael not to mention the other quirks and bugs in the program. Gesh! e-on had a patch out for Vue 4.0 within two weeks of the program's delivery! Now THAT is customer service! THAT is customer and product support! Of course, it helps when you are actually involved in the community. When was the last time anyone actually saw a post from someone at Lipsinc?

Actually DAZ made the models and it is a little sad that the masters didn't take Mimic into account. Vic and Mic were on the scene after Mimic by quite a span so DAZ is to blame. Besides Mimic has tried to be Poser compatible not DAZ compatible. DAZ broke some of the rules with Vic and Mic. Sometimes you have to break the rules to expande capabilities but I find it hard to believe they didn't know to take Mimic into account. I have a FAQ on Mimic on my site and listed here on RO

Thanks for getting back to me! I'm glad to know I wasn't an idiot on this one. 8^) Marque

Sorry, I have to disagree. But I do so respectfully. As I stated earlier, it has been quite some time since Vicki and Michael were introduced. I did not blame Mimic as the cause FOR the problem. I blamed Mimic for not offering an update or patch to solve the problem when they know that a large percentage of their customers are using Vicki and Michael. Mimic even uses Vicki as their "spokesperson" on their site! Now, in their presentation there, Vicki's eyes blink, brows move, etc. So, either they are misleading new customers by giving the impression that Mimic can handle all that or they have the solution/patch/update and simply have not made it available. I do not necessarily expect them to offer the update/patch for free. I would be more than happy to pay for it. I just want some indication that Mimic is even being supported anymore. It would, of course, be nice if Lipsinc would drop by once and awhile just to let us know that they haven't forgotten us, that they are aware of the situation and that either they plan to correct it or that its just tough luck. e-on drops by. Curious Labs visits regularly. The folks creating World Builder have made this a regualr haunt. Why? Because they appear to care a bit more about customer problems and service than Lipsinc does. The impression I get from Lipsinc is that the Mimic/Poser folk are somewhat like an unwanted pet. Either that or Corel bought them out and I haven't read it yet. Ah, well, the trials and tribulations of the 3-D warriors.

BTW, thanks for the link jamball. Help is always appreciated. Take care.

Interesting thread - and I have to agree about the lack of support for the new models. Someone needs to take action, whether its DAZ or Lipsinc. I imagine that someone at DAZ will read this thread, as we all know how often they appear here. Ill take the liberty of pointing LipSinc in the direction of this page. After all, at least it`s only fair that they are made aware of community feelings in order that plans might be drawn up to tackle the problems (technical, as well as customer frustration!)
