I received C3 beta the other day and that was one of the first things I looked at. There is quite a variety of stock trees and from what I have seen, you can make your own as well. I must say though that there is a lack if shaders such as bark and leaf textures but that might come with the completed program. I was considering Bryce 5 but since seeing this, I think I'll hold off for a while. Hope this answers your question dave!

Have to agree with Mark. Carrara 2 is a great place to start and will take you a lot further into 3D work than you might expect.

Try Victoria 2. Everything is there to do the job but it might take you a couple of hours to accomplish it. it is definitely a more feminine face.

This is looking good...so far. I use a Mac and therefore no Poser 5. After seeing this, I guess I can wait longer. I would like to see support included for Cinema 4D....both Art and XL and Carrara. That would be just great. Have to say I'm impressed with what I have seen here so far.

B16...I have tried to download both the converter and installer from soft_rabbit.com and both files are corrupted. Is there any place else I might try to get them?

Sorry it didn't help Greenbd. I don't use a tablet so I can't make any suggestions there at all. Don't use the key commands much either. I assume your tablet is USB. Did you try unplugging it and after a minue or so, plug it back in. I have seen some of the USB peripherals start working properly again after doing that. Remember, these are only suggestions that I'm making. I am no expert by any means. One thought...did you run "disk first aid"? Check to see if your "permissions" are OK. After I installed 10.2.1, mine were all screwed up. While you are at it let it check your whole hard disk. It takes a few minutes to do this but it might be worth the time. Best to run this off of the boot disk. (OSX10.2) Good luck! Let me know if it helps.

I have posted some of this before. I read in the knowledge base or something like that in some info somewhere that if you are having a problem running some programs in "classic mode" you should go to OS 9.2.2 or whatever you are using and in the "extensions manager" switch to "basic mode". I had this problem and it seemed to solve it. Some people said it does not work doing this and others said it helped. I know it did for me. You might want to try it.

Be patient. I too have a Mac. After reading about all of the problems in Poser 5 I am just as well pleased that I'm not involved. I know it's difficult to wait while all with a PC are having all the fun tearing their hair out with mystery problems. Be satisfied using P4 or whatver you use and let CL get everything in order first before they put the Mac version together. It will save a lot of headaches in the long run.

Still waiting for the mac edition but with all I have seen and read so far it looks as if Poser5 has a lot of potential. This is looking real good!

I have enough haunted programs. Perhaps I should forget P5 until it's blessed by the pope!
