I only buy dual motherboards. Even if you can only afford a single cpu you then have the option of adding another one in the future and extending the life of you system. You should get a quality dual amd motherboard with the fastest single processor available. Later on when the price of cpu's drops then add an identical second processor to the system.
Better than having to buy a new computer every 2 years.

reinstall the deleted program. should put back any shared file you lost. if that doesn't work rerun OS installation and repair.

I did a websearch but can't find Morph squeezer. Can you direct me to a demo.

Thinkfish was swallowed by viewpoint datalabs. The awesome livestyles were used for a program called Liveart 98. It was a 3D clipart thing that allowed the import of 3ds format models. The models could then be rendered in various non-photorealistic styles. The styles in Liveart 98 were more numerous that those available for RayDream. At one time you could get liveart 98 bundled with Nendo for $99. If Carrara could use the Thinkfish livestyles it would make the program a million times better. The combination of Livestyles with Carrara z-buffer options would provide features not seen any program.

Thanks! I deleted these models accidently and thought that was the end of me. I glad I can still get them.

I haven't had either of these programs installed in a while so maybe I'm not the right person to give help. But if memory serves me well shouldn't the info that has to do with the exchange of data between RDS and P3D be store in the RDS ini file? could the ini file be set to read-only or in some other way not be recording you settings?

Have applied the Painter 3d fix for rds5.5? the zip was named P3dfix.zip and contained the following readme file. >> To Install Painter 3d extensions and confirm installation. Copy this entire folder into the Ext directory in the RayDream Studio5.5 directory. Start the RayDream Studio5.5 application, create or open a scene file, and from the Windows menu select Metacreations Painter3D. The Metacreations Painter3d windoid will appear. Select an object and hit the Paint Object button on the Painter3d windoid. Painter3D will then launch. If the error message "Painter 3D did not start!" appears, then you must install Painter 3D from your Plus Pack CD.<<
