There used to be some eyelash trans for various models in our freestuff-- wouldn't hurt to check those out-- even if you mean to make your own. Emily

"free share free share use commercially free share use commercially but ask me first free share don't use commercially free share but ask me first free share but include this readme" Could still do this with a checklist and let the freestuff monitor compile it. [just a matter of deleting what wasn't checked] I know that's more work for unpaid monitors, but then the desires of the creators might be clear. Then again, faced with a huge page of checklists some people might throw up their hands and toss the freebie away. I've noticed there's a certain lack of patience that seems to be genetically linked to poserdom ;) Emily
Thread: Plea to morph makers | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It's a shame you don't have David, cause Syd did a couple of morphs for him that are really close to Kenny-- I'd check her M3 morphs anyway,[at Rdna] around the time they were doing the western themes she did a variety of cowboys. And Jepe did one or two great Kenny lookalikes for David too, especially his Kyle-- http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=33412 I'm sorry, cause that doesn't really help you and I know how it feels to want a good morph. Casette, you are masterful with Jesse, there's no doubt of that from the first time I saw your work. The first two renders have no-- or little toon qualities in them. The closeup has a bit of over-emotion that might be but not much. The egyptian pic has toon qualities -- it's the boobs. Very Mayadoll, high, unbelievable perfect for a toon. Beautiful stylised render though. I do not mean in anyway to denigrate your work, casette, I just can see momodot's point, to a degree. Emily

Heads-up, Acadia!! Note on the black pop-up, says that texture is not included-- shouldn't be too hard to replicate though. Emily

That meshing together-- I wonder if that's because of the PMD's-- the new all in one morph, texture thingey in Poser 6. No, I don't have it installed yet so I can't describe it properly. But I'd sure hate to lose that handy character saving ability. Wonder if it works if you turn off PMDs? Emily
Thread: What are the real advantages of 3rd gen Mil figures over 1/2? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
gagnonrich: but whatever improvement is there isn't as drastically better over the earlier figures than the first Victoria was over the P4 characters. That improvement isn't jumping out at me.[unquote] Didn't exactly jump out at me either-- you trade off knee breaks for upper thigh oddities and bodies that are heftier-- which is why I stick to SP3. I think the realism in the face morphs are more important than the bending, but that reflects my priorities I suppose. After awhile, all the V2s really began to look alike. Just like the V3's sorta do now. Not that they have to, but there is this face that keeps showing up-- short nose, big round eyes, wide mouth, sort of eurasian french look to the character. I don't mind saying that-- cute as it undoubtedly is, I'm awfully sick of seeing it. I like angles in a face. Emily

Have you thought about saving as tiff? You have full resolution,no compression and then can do you jpeg in whatever program you trust. I've never had good luck saving jpegs out of Poser. Emily beautiful composition, by the way.
Thread: Fractals USED to make me fart... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

Geeze, I thought it might have been all the tofu I eat. Thanks for the compliments, pookah, I like the landscape angle you put on Cragmore. It's fun for me to see my work through someone else's eyes and watch another person's creativity transform it. Which is interesting cause I'm one of the people in the Fractal community who is death on what is called "tweaking". People who get your uprs, kinda like the cr2's of a fractal and then screw with it by just changing color and calling it original. I never open my fractals for tweaking-- well, it's a very rare day when I do. What Pookah's doing with my art-- which is with my permission-- is truly creative and I'm jazzed. Rreynolds, have you used Apophysis? I should check your gallery, shouldn't I? I can't get my mind round that proggie. I love FracFlame which is another version of the flame method, KPT style, it was fairly easy and I used to do a lot of those, until they started to all look alike. UltraFractal serves most of my needs for now. I'm just pleased some people can get it that Fractals are not just Wavy Gravy/ Grateful Dead album covers anymore. I know one woman who does small increments of color in 400 layers of work that is indistinguishable from oil pastels-- still lifes. I don't have that kind of patience, but I do like the ability of fractals to aproximate expressionistic figurative abstracts. And I try to do those as well as I can. Ultrafractal is pricey for a fractal program, most of which are free or close to it. I think, in its case, you get what you pay for. And it can generate some amazing organic textures, that are useful for 3d texturing and backgrounds. Look through my gallery, I have offered several of my fractals for free use-- the terms are clearly spelled out-- in texturing, backgrounds, whatever. I'm sure to offer more. The link I gave is to a picture in my gallery with one of my fractals as a background-- I think you can see that some of the texturing of the fractal and the texturing-- by Sixus1-- of the figure are quite similiar in substance and tone-- purely by accident, I assure you. I don't think the use of fractal in 3d has yet been fully realized. DreamPaint, a master fractalist, has made incredible inroads there. So has TT and samildanach. Thanks again, pookah, I love your work. It's funny, creative, weird, all those good things. And thank you for wanting to use some of my stuff with it. Its a good match. Nzrac the Ogre is gone!!?? I'd better triple back up my files, he was and is my absolute hands down favorite character ever. I don't care if his base is Michael 2, he deserves to still be available. Emily

Thread: Poser 6 problems | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
According to operaguy, the safest way to save a truly important project is to "save as", close out of Poser, reopen and then render, this dumps the memory and keeps your latest save from being corrupted by a bad render-- if I understand og's instructions correctly. I also, second Xeno's recommendations to work only in P5 for truly vital work until this utterly random and unpredictable memory prob is fixed. Better be soon too, but more important than soon is a fix that completely works without side-effects, so. . . Sorry, you got caught in this drive-by file asassination. Hoping I cross post with operaguy who can explain his saving method better than I. Emily
Thread: Stonemasons Urban Sprawl | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Email Stonemason, he's very helpful with his products and a real good guy. I'm hopeless with shadows, I'm afraid. Gave up a long time ago. Though it might be something as simple as enabling shadows on the ground plane-- I don't think it is an automatic thingey. Emily
