The problem with that error is that it could be caused by anything. I had it for months and it got worse when i was using non-graphics program. I found out that my graphics card did have a problem and was overheating because of some manufacturing defect so I had to change it. I had it with Vista and also when I upgraded to Win 7.
I haven't had a problem since then.

If you're using vista or win 7 and have poser installed in program files, try running poser as an administrator.
