Pat, Check around. I know that a co-worker of mine was in Manchester this week and she was telling me how it was good I did come because they staed near a photoshop that I would have never gotten out of (or the office was near there or something). Point is that there may easily be a local place that can fix it rather then send it back to Sony in case there is any dust inside. I bet there isn't I bet its dust on the filter.

Check for dust on the lens. Dust on the lens will be visible at different focal lengths but in different places and different densities. Or there was a heck of alot of crap floating around in the air. I would shoot a few more sky shots after cleaning the lens. If they are still there, there may be dust inside the camera. If that is the case you have to take it in to be cleaned. Onslow, Hot Pixals will be in the same place all the time everytime no matter the settings. Hot pixal means that the specific pixal is toast and will always show as white or red, unles the camera tries to map them out. However if it tries to map it out it is usually the color of the surrounding pixals which is where the camera grabs data to fill the hole.

I hate to tell you, probably they are dust. Try shooting the sky a few times and if they are in the same place, time to clean the sensor.

Yep, I am bias. I am a Nikonian from way back. and the D70 is a great camera but I like the metal body of my D100. It just feels right in my hands. And yes, DSL is alot of money but it is well worth it. No shutter lag, interchangable lenses, high megapixal counts, I could go on but I will just say D100/SLR, love it!

I don't find them offensive, I find them outstanding. The blue is cool, I take it a blacklight on white? You are so far in front of me... I love the idea, I had a similar one but haven't had the chance to even scope locations let along models or layout. These are some of your best work! Magick Michael

Quick Tut... Duplicate the image in Layers. Convert the top layer to B&W. Carefully erase the parts you want in color. Done! A google search on "Coloring images" may turn up something if you would like more details. Magick Michael

I have about 200 CDs and DVDs and I am guessing that there are another 8-10gig on my machine that I need to backup. these are just from my D100's (one got stolen). Overall that totals somewhere near 18,000 taken since December 2003. If you add the previous 2 digital cameras, that would be another 15,000 - 20,000 images. (actually killed the Olympus. Wore it out) Those are backedup on another 200 discs. That would be all since August 2000 when I got my first digital.

OK I am getting a new monitor. I just got 10 out of 10 on my wifes CRT. Take away 1 for memory. I tried not to scroll far enough down to see how I was doing but on one that wasn't possible.
