If you ask most pros in the CG field, they will tell you except for the occasional print image they use scan line renders. Ray tracing is a waste of time. Most people cannot tell the difference. Why sit around for hours waiting for a ray traced image when you can have a scanline in minutes. I lived through a 29 hour render only to discover I didn't like the end result. I want options I can live with, not live through.

I really like this image. One thing I would add though, are signs and warnings. I occasionally work in the basement below a paper machine, an enviroment not too different to your pic. Everywhere are warnings about automatic valves, hot surfaces, slippery surfaces, moving equipment, and the need for special safty equipment. We also have colour coded ducting and electrical boxes to speed up ident in case of emergency or maintainance. Also, everything has an area Letter and a section Number Just a thought.

@ Danamo...You have to be careful how much Scaffolding you take out,becauce I found when I was cleaning up I was creating smoothing problems. The detailing between the bottom glass areas looks simple, but removing geometry from there was creating jaggy edges when smoothing.
