I don't think it can add dials, not without some great effort and rigamarol, but it can pop up it's own GUI. Yeah... I've been thinking about learning Python. But I abandoned javaScript for flashActionScript and I should probably get "up to code" on those two before embarking on a third. If you ever need help with anything within my capabilities, do let me know.

Works like a charm! I am very impressed. So is this the final? It's great! I cannot thank you enough. What do you plan to do with this script?

Oop... shoulda phrased that correctly. I just wanted to know what program Wolfie uses. I can see how that may look like I was looking for help. Good to see such a helpful sort as yourself, Ron. Thanks for leaping to my rescue, even if I didn't need the rescuing. :)

How do you make your BVH files? In Poser or by some other means? I, for one, would like dancing... go-go style. Does anyone remember the Metacreations Dance Studio? Poser should have a dance studio to go along with it's walk designer.

But if I call it the right name for the figure, why doesn't it work? My limited understanding of all this would lead me to believe that the script manipulates the parameters across the timeline. Each morph has a parameter. Isn't just a matter of calling it by name in the script? I don't think morphs are the problem here. But then again... what do I know?

Super! But it's not just Vic and Mike that give the error message. It's also the manequin and the skeleton and the stick man. (I'd like to say every figure BUT the Dork and Posette, but I have not tried every single figure.) If you could glean why it won't work with these figures, thast would probably apply to Vic and Mike as well. Same error, probably the same problem. I just can't figure it out myself! Daz3D has deemed it acceptable to redistribute the .cr2 (but not the .obj geometry file) for victoria 1. I could send you a copy ifin' you'd like.

Okay... I went into the script and changed some facial morph parameter names to reflect those found on Vic & Mike. ("Worry Right" changed to "BrowWorryR" etc...)As far as I can tell, all body parts and parameters are now named corectly. Any Idea? I have, however, come up with a work around... Load the dork or posette .... apply the "Squirm" and then change the figure. All "squirminess" remains intact! (except for the misnamed facial expressions) You should really submit this script to Daz or the marketplace. Find a way to make this work on all figures and everybody and their Poser dog will want it! Oh yeah! It rocks THAT hard! Thanks again!

Ooops spoke too soon... I think I'm a bit out of my league when it come to editing code. Could you give me a hint as to why this error happend with figures other than the Dork and Posette? What do I have to change to make it work with any figure I wish to "squirm"? Thanks angain. And did I mention that I am really VERY impressed with this!

Wow! Thanks. This works great with Posette & the Dork!I can't begin to tell you how impressed I am with this!!! Doesn't seem to want to play nicely with Michael or Victoria though. Traceback (innermost last): File "", line 298, in ? AttributeError: 'None' object has no attribute 'SetValue' I'm about to delve into the guts of the script to find out why. Methinks it's due to the script relying on naming conventions. Does this error occur when the script cannot locate an actor (part of the figure) for which it has parametrers for? Or is it caused by an actor not being found within the figure? Thanks again ever so much!!!!

300 res? Is that the dpi you're rendering? Higher dpi is not the answer and will have precious little effect on any image you make except to make the picture larger. In fact, anything over 72 dpi is overkill for raster images meant to be displayed on any monitor. 150 dpi is standard for print media, 300 dpi is used for expensive art books showcasing high-end colour plates. It has to do with the way in which our eyes interperate color information from different sources. Of course if your main objective is to make huge wall posters of your 3d renderings... Bump up the dimensions of the beast to 5 feet by 8 feet, but there is no need to go above 150 dpi. As for realism... Textures, lighting, and shadow maps are the most important things to consider here, I do believe. How do I make my hi-quality texture look great? Add some "bounce" lighting. Subtley coloured lights that just glance of the edges of your subject. Get rid of the Omnis and add some spotlights. Bumping up the Shadow map size from 256 to 1024 will help get rid of blocky shadows as well. Experiment and good luck!

In your Poser|Runtime|Figures folder there is a file called default.figure. Open this with Notepad, or another text editor, and change the default figure there. readScript ":Runtime:libraries:character:Poser 2 Lo:Default Guy.cr2" Change that line to reflect the character you want to start with. Easy-peasy :)

Oh! I should probably clarify that the proposal here is to make a new Python script, and not an appeal as how to use the Daz Viabrate. Any Python coders out there?
