The question is why were you rejected - did your images meet their required criteria.
If not then try and reach their requirements.
But you should't give up over one rejection.
Try a couple of other sites, there is no shortage of them.
Look at it like your early love life, just because the first girl said no it dodnt mean they all would :-)

I had this problem many years ago, cant remeber everything I did but I did take some shots outdoors so the light source was from above and constant rather than flash.
Maybe worth a try

This is something I have just got into.Yes there are a huge amount of sites selling photographers work, some offer them for a pittance and some sell at a good price and from what I have read some guys do make a good living out of it.
I checked out quite a few sites and whilst a lot of the work is good there is quite a lot of mediocre dross on there.
I have sold a couple of pics,on one of the cheap sites so I am now looking to try out some of the more pricey sites.
I wouldn't pay for someone to show my images as there are plenty of up market sites that take a commission.
I would say give it a try,OK you may never sell a pic but you do get a buzz when you do.
And one thing is for sure - your images ain't gonna sell sitting on you hard drive.

Thread: Slave Britain | Forum: Photography
I checked out the link and quite frankly I think the content should have been put in a different perspective.
It isn't the decent people of Britain that are involved in this sort of thing.
Its is people of their own kind exploiting them and frankly after the way many people come to Britain and are given free housing, benefits and medical help to say the least it is about time fingers were pointed in the right direction.
Yes I am annoyed

Thread: Shoot a lot or only a few? | Forum: Photography
I agree with neirbomit.I shot for years on 6 x 6 format and sometimes 35mm.
The cost of D & P was never cheap so every shot had to be made to count.
Then I went digital and the freedom was unbelievable. On a day out I will shoot 100s of images, knowing quite a lot will be deleted but it gives the freedom to try different angles and ideas on a single subject. It is suprising that in amongst the "alternative" angles on a subject you find a real winner and are thankful that you took those few extra frames. How many times in the "old" days did we take some images and then saw a maybe better viewpoint and then realised we were running out of film or considered the cost of processing. In my days using 6 x 6 I had my own business as a professional wedding on portrait photographer and every shot had to be a good one.
Some people call it "machine gun photography" but I call it total freedom to try ideas and angles.I think many of us consider the shot we are taking and even taking more than one of the same subject from a different angle we still consider what we are doing first.
The answer to it all - do what suits you best.

Hi girsempa,
Thanks for the help - another question.
I followed your instructions and I opened a jpeg in CS2 and it shows the the document size as 17.2M If so that explains them saying a 6 megapixel gives a file of 17 MB.
When I look at the file size in my folder says 2.6 MB,is that because the file gets compressed or something when saved to the hard drive.
Thanks a million for your help so far

Thread: Taking the Digital Plunge, need advice! NIKON | Forum: Photography
For most of my life ( nearly 60 now ) I shot on a Bronica 6 x 6 doing portraits,weddings etc.
I took the plunge into digital and my first camera was a disaster. Not saying which make, maybe it was me.
I then purchased a Nikon D100 and have never looked back.I have had a number of images enlarged and printed and I would have been happy to get that quality off of the Bronica. A HUGE plus with the Nikon is the battery,it goes on forever and only needs a two hour charge.I always have a spare battery with me but against other cameras that take six or more of those pathetic little batteries the Nikon is way ahead.

Hi Again,
Well this has been very educational for me and thanks to all who have replied.
Regrettably I shot all my images on high quality jpeg,Oh well there is always next year.
Looks like I will have to seek out libraries that don't have such high requirements - any suggestions ???

Hi All,
Once again thanks for all the positive input.
I shoot on a Nikon D100 and use CS2.The Nikon gives a file at 3000 x 2000 px.
A question - yeah another dumb one maybe.
If one resizes the document doesn't this cause the image to pixilate.
If so what is the point and if not - why not.
Grateful for anymore help you people can offer.
Thanks.
Eddie
