Thread: Files problem... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Can't say I've ever had a zip file from Daz. Their stuff is usually in a self installing executable. Interesting. Oh well, all the files go into the same folders as other files like them. pp2 in Props cr2 in Characters jpg in Textures pz2 in Poses hd2 in Hands cm2 in Cameras fc2 in faces etc etc Good luck finding homes for the obj files, they could go anywhere. Ya see, all the daz models go into their own little Daz folders and it's a bit difficult to tell you where they should go. Perhaps if you contact Daz and ask them to exchange your zip files for their more normal executable install files you won't have to worry about it. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. :)

Well, all I can say is that I'm so happy I'm none of the above. You have no idea what a relief it is to be a moderate right wing leftist from the far centre and not associated at all with peepees, 3dcommie pinko spies or much of anything else. :)

reads... shakes head... walks away. Some people just aren't worth the effort, and I don't mean the guy who made the column.
Thread: New Messages? | Forum: Community Center
We had this problem a while back when Ronknights deleted all his old posts. It appears that yes, when someone deletes their post out of a thread it's an "active action" within that thread and it flags up in the forum. Just one of those things I guess. It didn't get fixed last time so I don't honestly expect it to get fixed this time. Assuming it can be.
Thread: Making +saving multi-element props in P4---possible? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Oh, forgot to mention to make sure that in a multipart prop that you are parenting the exact piece that is parented in the main screen. For instance say you've made an earring which has four parts. box1, box2, box3, box4 these will be identified by the line name box1 name box2 etc. It's the one with name box1 that you will need to edit. All the rest will already be smart parented. Hope that helps
Thread: Making +saving multi-element props in P4---possible? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You can have box number 1 parented to a target and have all the rest of the props parented to box #1 It does however require that you hand edit the pp2 file created by the prop. Right at the top of the parameters section of the pp2 you'll see a bunch of lines that are initial command parameters name Prop_1 on bend 1 dynamicsLock 1 hidden 0 addToMenu 1 castsShadow 1 includeInDepthCue 1 smartparent Hip:1 channels It's the smartparent line that you want to edit. If the prop is aligned in poser to how you want it and parented to a body part, open the pp2 (once saved) in a text editor and change the smartparent line to read the body part the prop is parented to. Then when you next load the prop it will load parented to that body part with all the other parts following along.

Possibly a banner, wouldn't be the first time. It's not a thumbnail as it's requested before getting to that part of the site. I've not seen it since lunch yesterday. If it occurs again I'll make a note of what and where and grab a screen shot too. Thanks

I thought you were corresponding with Larry on this? Isn't that what you said earlier? I'm sure that just as soon as anyone knows anything someone will say something. No good asking, the larger majority of people are just as much in the dark as you are.

statse.webtrendslive.com/ Two cookies offered and rejected from this company at the front page and freestuff page - the one where you get to choose to enter freestuff? http://www.renderosity.com/freestuff.ez Sorry, but don't you think that people get enough spam in their mailboxes without introducing the risk of more as a result of things like this?
Thread: Do you doubt that Poser 5 was a good investment? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes, and the reason of several others. There's comments in a few threads here where people have explained why they paid full price, I don't see that it's an interrogative point to be honest. If people paid the upgrade or full price, is it really that important as long as they paid for it? Or are you questioning that the majority seem to quote in complaints the 300 dollar price tag? If so, fair enough because I've only seen one person who paid the upgrade price quote it along with a complaint, the rest have always used full price in their example.

Jeff, Some people paid full price for poser to get the seperate user license - this is not exactly a state secret. Same as I would have done. I don't buy upgrades for various reasons, just the full version. It's becoming common to ask people why they paid full price as if some sort of accusation. Yet, with just a little imagination it can be worked out.

OK, if you've reported it then fine. Thanks. I look forward the blasted things going away. :)
