I can see where your comng from; I've had the thought myself. What it led me to is that the high poly count is necessary but not sufficient. You would need a morphable Geometry file or something.

The most general answer (this came around again recently) is to Paste to the Background, then move the character out of the view (not make it invisible) and when you save save you can make it whatever you want (full rendered, etc.)

ThorneWorks (Top 15 on the right ===>) had a character up for the month of March named Erin o'Fae that had glasses; you might poke around there.

If you are on a Mac get the program called Macinstaller from Free Stuff Utilities, and you can drag and drop onto its icon to install everything at once. If you are on Windows the Readme file will usually tell you where everything must be moved to.

JVipond: You mention Meshwork. Do you like it? Any comment? It's the only modeler I have right now; but I have trouble with things like placing points far away from the curent selection and I'd like to be able to paste into arbitrary locations.

Possibly the concern is an equal number of vertexes, just pushed around a little. With a few extra kludged onto the hip.

The major downside to an .exe is it open the door to worms and virii and password stealing trojans. Not that it's a problem, but you might inadvertently pass something nasty along to a Windows user.

Robin Wood: I'm surprised nobody mentioned MartinC's Poser Macinstaller 1.0.1. It is the only thing nearly as cool as Maconverter. Drag and drop the output from Maconverter onto it and it sorted everything into place for you, you never go searching for textures files, it leaves an unmolested Runtime folder -- I could go on and on. This is more than parity with the Wintel platform. ScottA: "Sounds like PC to Mac is harder to do" Myabe, but look where you are at the end! =)
