Thread: Problems Uploading Tutorial Link | Forum: Community Center
A couple of other people have had the same problem. I haven't heard of a fix yet. In the meantime, could you please post the tutorial location in the appropriate forum?
Thread: Why do I have a cookie from Radart? | Forum: Community Center
Actually, it was part of his terrorist plot to take over the Internet, but now that it's been uncovered, the world is safe again. You should have seen the last plan, involving a raft and a kid ...
Thread: Bug Check | Forum: Vue
I made a terrain, hit Ctrl-C, double clicked on the terrain, changed it to a different terrain, closed the editor, hit Ctrl-V. It worked just fine. It also worked if I use the Edit: Copy, Edit: Paste on the toolbar.
Thread: Ummm is this a bug? | Forum: Community Center
It's a bug. We already razzed the administrators about it a while back. You may want to read about Akbar, the first Renderosity member, online for over 30 years ...
Thread: Vue image with a Canoma model | Forum: Vue
Yowch! Very impressive work! If you want to change your e-mail address in your profile, just drop a note to one of the administrators, like Jack or Ed and they'll be glad to make the change for you.
Thread: Possible copyright violations. | Forum: Community Center
I don't think they're being too dificult in regards to copyrighted material. This is what I found at http://community.webshots.com/html/violation.htm : In accordance with the Webshots Terms and Conditions, we will remove any material that violates a copyright, trademark, or patent. Send email to business@webshots.com to report a violation if you own such material and you want it removed from the Webshots Community. In the email, you must provide: Your name and personal email address. The complete URL for each image that is in violation. Proof that you own the rights to each image listed above, for example: Your watermark or logo embedded in the image. A link to a website that you operate that demonstrates ownership (such as a artist's site). The name of a publication which contains the image. Upon notification, Webshots will verify the violation and remove images within 3 business days. They define violations of their agreement at: http://daily.webshots.com/html/terms.html 4. What Content or Materials Are Not Allowed on The Webshots Site? e. Copyrighted content or material that is used without the express permission of the owner; Obviously I copied only the parts that would matter to this forum. (Hope I don't get hit with copyright infringement for copying their terms. ;~} )

I think we should be vueyers (voyeurs). And welcome, Hdrider! There's a lot of warm, helpful people here.
Thread: Vue vs Bryce | Forum: Vue
One thing that made me fall in love with Vue is the object list on the side of the program. Now that I'm making models with various parts, if I render them in Vue, I can easily pick an individual part and give that a material. It took me months in Bryce to figure out how to select a part of a model, and even then, it is more cumbersome. The Bryce manual is bigger, but it's not easy to understand. Vue's manual is easier to understand, but it's organization leaves a bit to desire.
Thread: Couple of lighting questions | Forum: Vue
Thanks, I didn't see it in the tutorial section. My bad! And to think, I was going to go through some of the tutorials tomorrow! (Well, I've had the program two days ...) Thanks!
Thread: WIP Me, Beat Me, Challenge Me | Forum: Challenge Arena
I'm afraid that's too advanced for me. You might want to look at 3DCC and see if any of the superheros there has a cape that would work. George Deep has poseable cloaks on sale at the store as well.
Thread: Attn: JeffH, you might be able to answer this. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There was a post about this a few weeks back. The answer was to scan the photo at as large a size possible, but scan it at a slight angle. Bring it into a photopaint program and rotate it back. I don't remember the post address, but it you look for it, you'll get a much better explanation in the original post.

Thread: File Hosting Site | Forum: Community Center
A lot of places don't allow cross linking of files. They don't want to be repositories of MP3 files or porn mirror sites. Make sure you read the Terms of Service fully before you sign up with someone. I contacted customer service at my new hosting company to make sure that there wouldn't be any problems with my posting stuff to the Free Stuff area as that is technically cross-linking. (Files stored in one site, but accessed/downloaded from another site.) I wouldn't be surprised if Xoom has revamped their policies on cross-linking. They've been doing interesting things the last few months with people's sites. GeoCities has terminated a lot of accounts as well.
Thread: List Of Contributed Softgoods to the Store for Donation | Forum: Community Center
I'll be glad to do some glasses of different types: champagne glass, etc. I'll also try to do a kitchen set, things like silverware, etc. I also can put together my set of tables. I'm booked this week, but could get something together within 2 weeks. (I'm really behind on promised stuff.)
