I've been using it for several months now with no problem. I have 1.3 GHz and 256 RAM, so you can definitely handle it with what you have.

You say it didn't come with any geometry files, so it must be a tex map set or character morph. You'll have to buy Vicky 1 or 2 in order to make it work.

Just about a year. Started out with a copy that I suspect was warez in Oct. 2001 (picked it up at a yard sale), then bought a legit one in Nov. 2001. Best software investment I ever made.

If it was all freestuff then you can just download it again. Every so often these cheap CDs I use f*** up, so I end up having to redownload everything. Once my dog stepped on my kids' Sims CD and put a claw hole in it...

I'm an honest person, so I have no problem with it.<< I'm an honest person, but i do have a big problem with it. CL is in effect pissing in the faces of their customers and saying "who cares what you think, as long as we get your money" >>If Curious Labs is making it a hassle for them, too bad.<< They're not. They're only making a hassle for the paying customers. Within a couple days of its release, some hacker will come up with a crack to counter CL's "protection" device and he will distribute it to all the warez sites and Kazaa, so all the pirates will have an easy time installing and using their Kazaa edition of P5, but the legit users, who have no need of a crack, will be saddled with the burden of having to check in with CL every time they need to reinstall it... So, as far as I'm concerned, I'll just stick with P4.

Instead of raising the windows, how about putting in a stairwell and lowering the door to create the impression of an entrance to a partly-below-ground-level room (as is frequently the case with buildings built in un-level ground with the freont at street level) Suggestion: give each window a broken morph so users can have the individual panes broken or intact as they want. Maybe also give each of them a disappear (no window) morph so users can vary the number of windows, thus making the set more versatile.
