Ahhhh... Now that you mention it, I remember that this behavior had started right after I finished naming objects, with all capital letters. (easier for me to read) Of course, I left the CAPS lock on... Didn't know that it was a permanent toggle switch for a "snap to" behavior. Thanks a lot for the help. Norb Have an "alien skin" tile I made.

Considering Corel simply 'bought' Painter 6, put their name on the box, and are STILL charging 400 bucks for it after it's WAY over a year old... really T's me off. They obviously paid out more than they could afford for the Metacreations software that they bought. They've been keeping the the prices (on ALL of them) higher than they normally would have been by this time. Here's a picture of Corel's CEO's in training...

Ah, yes... Antione What's-his-face. Before Carrara came out, he had replied to a personal e-mail I had sent him, and assured me that all of the plugins for RDS-5 would work directly within Carrara. That guy is a fuckin' LIAR!! Here's a picture of him....

I've avoided going there, for a long time now. Second or third time I went there, I was forced to re-confirm the sign-up information I had given them, including my e-mail address. A day or two later, I started getting spam that invited me to go to porno sites. I had NEVER had ANY e-mail soliciting anything of the sort, EVER before that. I changed e-mail addys. Didn't go back to Renderotica. Haven't had any more of those kind of e-mails sent to me.

The free "ZoneAlarm" personal firewall software will stop P4 from being able to do it's network check, every time. (As long as you set it to do that) I only noticed this by accident, because I had the ZoneAlarm program running the first time I launched P4 after installing it.

Makes you wonder what Corel is gonna do with ALL of the MC acquisition programs they now have... At a software store I went to a couple of months ago, I saw both MC's and Corel's boxes of "KPT 6". The only differences between the two boxes, was the software companies names in the upper left corner on the front of the box... AND COREL'S COST $50.00 MORE!!! As far as I know, that's the ONLY change that they've made to that program. I don't think there's any upgrade path either. I recommend that you cherish your Bryce. Hold it close to your heart, and don't let anyone put even the slightest scratch on it. It may very well be the last version you can justifiably bear bending over and paying for.

If you had ever seen (in person or through photos) what somone REALLY looks like after shooting themself in the head, you know that it isn't anything like your depiction or what you see on TV or in movies. It makes a persons head expand and bulge out in ways that look or seem impossible. (Even split open in areas far removed from the path of the bullet) When you say that "suicide is painless, I'm sure you haven't had somone YOU love commit that final act of selfishness upon themself, and everyone who knew or cared about them.
