Im very new to 3d period. I am a Paint shop Pro fanatic however. The only way to learn is to get in there and try things, read the boards, search for tutorials, there are a ton on here that really really help. It will start you a good while to get the hang of things...but you will get it.

I saved as a Jpeg, didnt have this problem with my last render...because I used poser 4 on that one. This one was firefly. I didnt save the file, oh woe is me. No biggie, next one though I will use these tips and see if it is any better. Thank you guys for the suggestions, it really helps alot!

I personally think James is hot....maybe that is just me, but the more I use him...the better he looks, much better than that stinking Don and Judy with her big Lucy looking eyebrows. Yes, I have issues, and yes, it does wacky things sometimes, but I will deal till they fix them, hopefully, soon.

No compression, that is actually a texture over top of the picture, two of them, to add the weird color. I think it was just he default setting on Firefly, what ever it is set to. So bummed, cuz me can't fix now. I wont be able to line up James on the right with the painting of the clothes I already did. I knew I should have used the poser 4, they always render nicer, dont know why. XO, will see if I did save the first pz file, I dont think I did. My head isnt working.

I think maybe some foliage...trees, shrubs, something...the grass is cool, but I think something to draw your eye to the Castle a little more maybe? I dont know. Very cool though, like a castle in the clouds sorta..how about some flags on the Castle too.

The background, I created, and yeah, it was flat, but after the first post, I went back, free hand selected some of the mountain and added a fill with patter, then added some of my own brushes to make the trees a little bit ... filled in more?

That gaussian, dang, should have thought of that. The moon and mountain was actually a picture...to create it from light to dark, I duplicated the image, erased everything but the dark stuff from the clouds, then smudged it over the light. Added a few black cloud brushes of mine over the moon to darken it.

The shadows, drive me insane, I dont quite understand those yet..LOL...The whole program gives me a head ache and Im just getting into the hair stuff. Used to paint it on.

I've only been using Jasc PSP for about a year. Im much better at flat wallpapers than 3d, but I will get there, that is if I dont pull my hair out.

Thank you for the tips. I didnt really think this was worthy to go into a gallery and perhaps I will add it now. Its wonderful to get such great feedback and encouragement, so thank you all very much!

this is my last attempt for the night...probably not any better, but meh, Im done with it.

its not a sun, its the moon at night during the beginning of a storm. I have tried numerous times to change the direction of the shadows in poser and I can't without blacking out my poser people, so I give up...

I would love to change the mountains, however, this is just a standard background I made in PSP (I have it in a bunch of different colors) so It was already done, I just added some plants and the poser people... Im so glad you like it, I like the way the people turned out, just have to work on doing backgrounds in Poser now I think.

So where exactly do you go to get the free content like P5 had? Im confused. Im so tired of having to register here and register there and the program doesnt even work like it should. Sad, very sad.

Well, being a total newbie, I havent figured out how to make my own stuff, so in other words, I wont be posting any of my stuff because you would basically say it sucks. How encouring.

I just got over this, it was horrible spent 5 days in bed, so I feel for you. Finally went to the doctor to get some antibiotics because I dehydrated myself. Take care and get lots of rest and drink plenty of fluids!

So you can build the clothes in Wings right? I did get that just havent installed it yet cuz I wasnt sure. Will start with that then. Thank you for helping. :)
