Thread: Inject morphs into clothing, is it worth it??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Okay, if I understand this right you want to be able to load a figure, load clothing and conform to the figure, and then inject fit poses into the clothing? Well, I just tried this and it works in Poser 7. I created an INJ file for a piece of clothing (after adding channels). I then loaded V3, loaded the clothing and conformed it to V3. I was able to inject a head pose in V3, and then select the clothing and inject the pose I had previously created. Some people are doing this with hair -- you inject the morphs after loading the hair, which lightens up the cr2 a bit. I don't know why you wouldn't be able to do this as successfully with clothing.

Thanks for posting a still of your seal. Looking good, though it will be difficult to get the texture just right with the shader room bug. I want to experiment with multiple hair instances, too. I don't know if multiple instances can exist on the same polys, but it will be cool if they can. Most animals have the thick short undercoat and a longer top coat, and having multiple lengths of hair will look more realistic.

ominousplay: For the cat fur, I did a lot of experimenting to get the fur texture and length I wanted. I used the hair length tool to shorten the fur around the head, muzzle and feet. Then I used the brush to move the guides in a natural flow on the body (this is easier if you turn off the visibility of the hair so you can see the guides). As for adding guides, the sphere shows you the influence of the brush. Just move the sphere so it intersects the body where you want to add a guide and click.

Thanks lululee and ominousplay! Putting fur on animals was my main incentive to upgrade to C6. ominousplay, I tried to view your movie, but it's not working for me. Do you have a still image to share? (Absolutely love your avatar, btw). Lot's of great info and images in this thread.

Thread: Crazy morph problem Zbrush vs Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - face-off: I would love to be proved wrong, however I am absolutely certain you cannot morph a figure that has been posed (for the reasons I stated previously).
I suggest you read my thread in the zbrush forum. You can indeed morph a posed figure in zb3. I've done it with hiro and m3 and successfully imported it into poser -- I haven't tried V4.

@Darkedge: Sorry it took me a while to get back to you on this. For layers, go to your tool palette and look at layers and click on New. Zbrush can save sculpting in layers. You can have many layers -- say you have one layer with major tweaks, and another layer with fine details. You can then independently change or delete layers, or change the layer intensity (slider in the layer dialog) to change the intensity of that layers effects. This way you can make changes without ruining other work. You can save poses in layers also, and use the intensity slider to lessen or heighten the pose in relation to your base mesh. You can also reimport your base mesh, as long as your keep the vertice number, order, and grouping identical. You can then pose or reshape your mesh in other software, and reimport it into zbrush, keeping your sculpting safe in layers or higher divisions. By importing your zeroed figure in a new layer on top of your posed base, you create a new state for your base mesh (remember it is the same mesh, just tweaked a bit). It is not much different than creating a new layer and then using transpose to pose your model. The vertices have just been shoved around with none being added or deleted. I recommend visiting zbrushcentral and checking out the tutorial thread. Lots of good free tutorials, and some suggestions for some excellent DVDs also.

Quote - Oh my god!!! I have been searching for a way to do this for 8 months! Thank you, Thank you. I'm going to try it in ZB2, if it does not work for me inZB2, I'll sell my car and buy ZB3!!!
Glad I could help. I'm looking forward to seeing this new figure of yours. Zbrush3 has been a lot of fun so far, but there is so much to learn. I've had it a week or so and not as much time as I'd like to play. Been watching some tutorials, so apparently some of it is sinking in!

Wow, layers are incredible! I just imported the zeroed figure, created a new layer, and imported the posed figure. I created another new layer, and played with the morph brushs. With layers, I can turn the morphs on and off, or, this is so cool, change the posed layer intensity to interpolate between the zeroed and posed figure, to see how my new morph looks at different stages of the pose. Don't be afraid to play with this amazing software!

Try using layers in zbrush. Don't know if you can do this in zb2, but I just tried it successfully in zb3: Export two obj files from poser -- your posed figure, and then your zeroed figure. Import your posed figure obj into zbrush. Create a new layer. Morph your posed figure as you wish. Now click on the eye of the layer to "turn off" the morph. Import your zeroed figure. Turn on the morph layer and your morphs will return on your zeroed figure.
