ohhh and what about shadows.....if the trees cast shadows to the ground and house, will those shadows not show if the trees are rendered seperate?

maybe make the highest parts of the bump some green in texture to look like some mossy/algea type growth on the wall.... looks great!

Well, I set it to render, and ended up making a trip to the emergency room. (an 8 hour trip) Anyhow, as it turns out, my ovarian cyst ruptured, and am now on some heavy pain meds.... weeeeeee So I think this week would be best for rendering, not for editing...hahahahah Working for that render...am very determined.... (tried the render to disk, and it got stuck and froze in the first line...lol) BTW, after some new trees and stuff this morning, new specs are 915 objects, and 2,103,092 polygons. (think I better stop before my pc does...lol) Jen

That sounds like a very kewl and gracious offer, the problem is the file is over 46mb in size, which pretty much makes sending it out of the question for anyplace...unfortunately... I do thank you for the offer tho, I would love to see this pic...LOL (like all of you, I'm still waiting to see it too..hahahahha)

Rayaz, that splitting scenes sounds like it may work, but now that everything's already in the image, how do I do that? Select like all the trees then copy and delete them, post into a new image and then do the merge? I need to read more on that...grins

my mother-in-law decided on friday that she was coming out Saturday to take me shopping, cause we're having a party for hubby's work this weekend, and my sofa and loveseat "isn't good enough for company" So of course with the new furniture, had to come new decorations for every room in the house...sheesh... We get along ok, but when she's here, my house isn't mine, it's hers... *rolls eyes* My pc is 512mb RAM, 733 processor, 40 gig HD. Kinda slow....but it's not running right even after a defrag and scandisk, clean up utility, so it's going even slower then normal. I started a preview render last night bout 10:00 and by 8 this morning was at 10%.. LOL at that pace, it won't be till next week till I get something to C&C lol Although, I'm thinking with it taking this long, this will be a final, UNLESS there's something MAJORLY wrong...LOL Here's the inspiration piece I used for this...(was thinking I should post after the image so th eexpectations aren't too high lol but decided, I need to post something...hahahahah)

I had th emain piece in one bryce window, then would open another to model some framework, or wondows, doors, rails, etc, then save them as objects, and add to the first image, so I will have some stuff when this is done too... I'll definately try those settings, the preview render is the one I most always use anyway for images, except for a few...lol For the heck of it today, I began a simple full render to get an idea of time frame, and thi sis what it said for expected render time... 1:23:37:47 and first pass took 11:27 am assuming that's 1 day 23 hours? and the first pass was 11 minutes 27 seconds...lol I'll set it tonight to render on those settings (thanks Rick) and hopefully by morning, I will have something besides a white screen with 5 lines on it....LOL Thanks everyone for all the great comments, I am soooo thrilled with this image..It began as a "is it possible", and became "can I actually do it, or would of of the more experienced artists be better at it" If I can get a test render done for tomorrow morning, I'll also post the Oroginal inspiration piece... heh, I asked my hubby who just got promoted at work from a help desk technician, to a pc technician, and he started going into all kinds of things including opening a new bryce window....hahahah I made him get back off my pc and came to you guys immediately for help....I knew someone here would know...LOL Thankssssssss again! I saved the pic and gave up on the render for the night, but will start again tonight let it go all night....(and this is just a test render so i can get a look at it...sheesh)
