ummm maybe some of the snow on the rose could be less ball like? maybe flat or something and maybe a little lighter red on the rose, kinda make it glow from within the snow grins

Thanks AS, just went and got that MDAC thing, and (maybe it will fix some of the bugs i got in this dern puter) but no luck in the C4d. Here's a screen cap of the error I get as soon as I click to open the program...Double click...error.... I've reinstalled it twice and even tried running it from disk instead of my hd like tech support said would work, and still no luck...lol I'm dooooomed....LOL

Thanks for the update AS, is always better to know, then to be left to wonder...lol (hoping we could get here to see the news lol) Today seemed really bad...my sister and her hubby came over, and of course I had to show off all of You guy's work, but none of th epictures would open, then later, not even the forum would open... Thanks Catlin, Oh, and I figured out why my lighting looked so bad, it wasn't the sky ambiance, it was in the little tiny candles in each window. The strength is only 10, but I bumped up th eshadow anbiance to about 7 and voila, glowing white house...LOL Took it back down to 0 and I have color again!

Thanks guys! for all the help so far...I've got one more render managed out before I fudged up the sky...(anyone know how to go back to default bryce sky? lol) I always model with the default, then about half way through switch to another sky, and in this image my default tweaked sky seemed to go better, umfortunately, I didn't get a good copy of it before I changed it beyond the undo button's abilities LOL Here's WIP 2, and am temted to add my inspiration piece pic with it, but have to check on copyright things first... The house in itself is in no danger of copyright laws as it is similar to 100 other Victorian style houses in our neighborhood, although it's direct inspiration comes from my FAVORITE 2d artist, Thomas Kinkade. *winks* FINALLY after 5 hours, got the grouping right for the windows, I eventually moved the roof booleans out of the way so they stopped interfering, and then grouped and moved the roofs back when the windows were done....MUCH easier...LOL Now I'm working on getting the sky settings back, as well as adding some candles to the windows, as well as a complete english flower garden (learning how to do flowers will be the hard part...lol) JenC

ok, here's a wireframe, (after I added the porch rails last night) I know lots of you have worked with ALOT more complex images, with many many more objects, I'm onlu at 404 objects and a tiny 38,217 polygons. lol can't blame you Catlin That basicly sets the delay in how long it takes to show hidden menu, like when you open your start menu, and go to something with a right arrow, default setting is 400 for the delay, this sets it to 0.

yep, that third option shows everything running. Whether you want it there or not..it's a complete list so to speak grins For an example, I installed a 30 day demo of a virus software, after it expired, I "uninstalled the program" However, to this day I still find parts of it still running in that box, and when I close them, the only thing it affects is how much FASTER my pc goes..LOL for a pretty complete list of everything installed on your pc, go into control panel, then add/remove programs. (you'd be amazed what ya find in THAT box hahaha) Although I recommend using the uninstaller with a program, for any that comes with one, then go into add remove programs for the ones that don't. Some times Add/remove leaves empty folders behind, while uninstalling doesn't usually. Just in case anyone's interrested, here's another lil thing to speed up the desktop a lil. Windows Display Tweak 1. Click on the Start menu and select Run. Type in "regedit" (without the quotes) in the Open field. 2. Expand the HKEY_CURRENT_USER key. 3. Expand the Control Panel key. 4. Expand the Desktop key. Then do one of the two steps below. * Select MenuShowDelay. Right-click, select Properties, and enter a value to 0 * If you don't have MenuShowDelay, you can create it. Here's how: 1. Right-click on Desktop key. 2. Select New > String Value and name it MenuShowDelay. 3. Right-click on MenuShowDelay, set its value to 0 (default is 400 milliseconds). 5. Restart Windows. grins

lol ok Ang, am on 98 now, so will browse as I type... 1. cookies. first, open your browser and go to tools, internet options. select the Privacy tab and set it to about Medium...(any higher and I had problems with my bank account online, or server access sites) 2. I dont' do AOL...lol...but if you want it as your primary browser, there should be a way to make it your default. 3. To remove programs, from using RAM without shutting down, (this will only be in effect til you reboot, then all goes back to normal) press control alt delete ONCE.....when the box pops up, select one program at a time and click end task....repeat until you close everything but what you need...TIP: DON'T close Explorer or systray....that will crash the pc and you will need to reboot. But those two are the only two required running to run your pc... As you open othe rprograms, it will add those to that list... hope this helps some Jen
