Lourdes - thank you for the instructions, but I (severely) lack time and necessary knowledge to be able to do such. Which is why I utilize and am willing to pay for the talents and creations of such people as dcort & PhilC. ;) PhilC - G Now I'm going to go unpack all of the books I've got stored away to find that particular cover. God help me if I've gotten rid of it LOL To add more to the desciption (maybe?), the character is basically a raptor (or sometimes described as a vulture) bird body with the head and upper breast area replaced with a woman's head and breasts. Their temperament, as well as physical hygiene (?), are also basically described as vulgar and dirty - with the broad meanings of those adjectives in effect. L I don't know if that helps any. ;) LadySilverMage - you are correct - 'Harpy Thyme'. Your memory served you better than mine served me. L

it's reptilian in nature. The type I am looking for is more of the Piers Anthony type described in his Xanth series (and also on the cover of one his books, I believe, Harpy Time?): A human/avian crossbreed with the head and breasts of a lovely woman, the lower body of a fowl, and no arms - bird wings instead.

Good Lord - I would love to have that text! Free or not, I hope you let us know if you're able to find out any more info on it. :)
Thread: My bizland account has ben deleted! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I read the terms & two/three things caught my attention: NO Nudity - hello?? So I guess that means no skin texture previews?? G And they can also delete your account at any time, without notice, if they feel you have violated their guidelines in some fashion. I dunno - this may work for some ppl, but it could be a serious hurdle for others.

arturito - S If someone were to tell you the same about your work, sincere or not, wouldn't you want to know why?? And perhaps get their point of view on what they think could be better/changed about it? I can appreciate bluntness as much as the next person, but not without some explanation - it serves to do such so as to expand our own perspectives. :)

Yes I have and I'm anxiously waiting to hear back from him. I'd really like to make them available - they weren't hard to make, but I don't want to step on anyone's toes.

Hmm....I would suspect this type of creature to be rather like a faun. A little more symmetry is needed - longer legs (thighs as misha suggested) Also, needing to more smoothly blend from his human part to his horse part. This looks like it'd be a really, really cool creature to have for some fantasy/mythical images. :)

I would suppose that if it has to do with the shins or feet/toes, just make them invisible.
Thread: Help with texture/material mapping | Forum: Bryce
Ah - dang, I have a feeling it has to do with the frequency (repetitions) of the material/texture pattern - for which I am so lame I can't figure out how to do it (yet) L BUT - if you've got a Bryce 4 manual, I believe the texture mapping section may help - found on pages 228 to about 234. Hope this helps & please let me know if it does work. :)

I'm not up on how to use masks - but I would suggest going to this site: http://www.mardiweb.com/web/psp5/psp5.htm There is a mask tutoral on the lefthand menu. :)
Thread: Looking for a wooden sign | Forum: Bryce
Hi - I haven't gotten it done yet - but if you're interested, there is a 'weathered board' in the Bryce freestuff - in the 'models' section. If this doesn't suffice for what you need - let me know and I'll get on the ball, k? :)

I'm not clear on what type of distance render you're trying to do. If you have your Bryce 4 Manual, look on pages 424 (Distance Render) and/or 437&438 (Adding Depth - render a scene as a distance mask - using Photoshop). Hope this helps. :)
