Thread: Transfer the Animated File from Poser to Bryce (frustrated) #%#@##$#@% | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah what gives? I had heard something like that. Isn't it possible to take a path in poser and attach it to a figure which you then bring into Bryce and allow to walk the path independent of bryce? Sorta like if I created an environment...Oh I don't know like say "Molten Lava" and had made a poser walk a 250 frame path in Poser 4...then imported it over to Bryce...so that the poser ..we can call him "Louie"...could walk along his path (created in poser) but within the "molten lava" environment created in Bryce. Hmm....maybe that won't work...but what about creating an AVI and bringing it into Bryce as an animated background? Is THAT possible? Perhaps "Louie" would prefer to walk the path like that instead of actually BEING on the lava? PAN~ My mind is truly just not there...
Thread: Poser Magazine? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hmm...funny you should post this...I was just discussing this with associates this weekend. THERE is a need for such a magazine. But in the meantime would you like me to be your text proofer? Is it worth upgrading to? Is it worth the upgrade? Is it worth the mula? Are the bugs worth it? ( Instead of Does it worth..) How to get the best out of poser with the LATEST....instead of Lastes hehehehe....Just teasing. I love the cover. Very professional layout. You'd have my vote for dibs on the cover. PAN~ Privilaged to have seen the Poser commercial on TV.

Well dpi must do SOMETHING because in my experience I have created text on some of the poser textures and found the higher the dpi, the clearer the text. If I leave it at 72 dpi it's pixelated and looks just plain ugly. Antialiasing does nothing for it either. For example I just recently created a shirt texture and applied a few words on it. I rendered it at a higher dpi in P3 and found it to be clearer than at 72dpi, I tried the same test in P4 and this time rendered the image at a size of 1000 x 1000 and found that when I took it into Photoshop and raised the dpi it look like a small image had been stretched to a larger size and then cropped down. Just plain nasty. As for trying antialiasing...it does nothing to make an image sharper...because pixels are squares it simply blends the egdes of an object with the background pixels so that you get the effect of a smooth edge..hence the blurry look. As for printing out...that's another nightmare. I'm an ARTIST not a mathamatician (or great speller for that matter) and I personally don't enjoy having to sit and figure out "THIS much by THAT much to get HOW much"...I would prefer to spend that time creating not calculating. I still ask again..."WHERE IS THE PATCH!" As for the original P3, it did have the same problem...however it was in the sense that it would reset itself back to 72dpi, you could however actually still RENDER at a higher dpi if you did so to a new window...and hit RENDER NOW instead of just OK (which would make it reset to 72dpi)...in my experience. PAN~ Thanks all for the advice, I guess for now I'll have to break out the calculator.....UG! Let's get that PATCH meta!!!
Thread: HEY!!! My works is gettin' displayed... Why isn't yours???? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
...SAY! Didn't I talk to you on BRYCETALK!? I could have sworn I did! Remember? I couldn't see anyone on there, I kept getting a blank IM box, ..but I could hear everyone's messages going "ding" when they would reply and I could type my own messages which others could see? So I devised this insane "morse code" of sorts until you all "dinged" me into a properly functioning IM? One ding for Yes...Two dings for No...hahaha...that was very embarrassing... PAN~ (going to be so red if I've mistaken you for someone else.)

....eh..sorry just really needed to vent. I did the work around technique but it just ain't cutting it. The image was not originally more than 72dpi so it shows when you bump up the resolution. Is there any word on this problem and when it will be corrected? Seems rather ludicrous that something like this would be "overlooked" in production don't you think? Perhaps they could create a new patch that would be a hold over until the real patch comes out...I mean if nothing else let's work on the resolution people! PAN~ Seeing 72dpi

Photowho? What exactly are these programs and how does one use one? I'm sorry to say I've been in the field a long time but not in the 3d side of things...still learning that stuff. PAN~ (perhaps a bit daft in da cabeza)

Have you tried Viewpoint Data Labs? That's where the founders of Zygote originated...they tend to give away free models as well... URL eludes me right now...but search for it at www.google.com and you should find it. PAN~
Thread: Forums and News (Pleas Read) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks for the news. I was definitely informed of a few spots within the forum I hadn't even noticed! One suggestion if I may? Ever since I discovered this forum I've found it to be the best resource for Poser / Bryce online. However, at times the information being provided can be terribly overwhelming. There is so much to see and so much to do it's probably impossible to really see it all. Sorta like being in Disney World as a kid and being told you have one hour to wander about and see it all. It's impossible. Granted we have more than an hour here, but perhaps a slight change in the forums layout might make things a bit more accessible for all. I love the layout now..but as this forum gets more and more populated....just like any other place of interest..it may be time to expand the fair grounds... PANdaRUS~ (Just suggesting)

Thread: Texture Update | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Wait a minute? I thought that was a bunch of different images pieced together? Now it's JLH? Hmm...I just spent over 3 hours creating what I felt was my BEST texture to date (see Gallery in about 20 mins [12:50am NY time right now] where I will post it for the first time) entirely off the inspiration from your technique!! Sheesh I could have just visited her site and gone to bed early! Arrg! PAN~ I know what I posed last summer....

He's got that right. If Some shmoe right off the street can look at your pants and then at meta's / zygotes' and say "SAY dem pantaloons is just like THOSE pantaloons...." well then you my friend have a violation. But if someone came about and said ..."hey nice pants." then looked at meta's and said "Hmm...neat...but I like his better" well then you know it's totally different. Think of it this way, "most art created in photoshop" is usually just taking someone else's photos and altering them to look unrecognizable for ones own use." Granted there are tons of people who do art from scratch....but there are also those that support the thriving "clip art" business.... If you really want to know the dilly-o on copyrights and so one...check out the GRAPHIC ARTIST GUILD. It's full of VERY important info for Graphic Artist' like us... www.gag.com
