Note in both the bad and corrected references that the texture is located deep within the props folder, instead of the Textures folder where it belongs. Does that mean all props have their textures located with then in the props folder? Not at all! It seems their textures could be located anywhere the author felt like putting them.
You have the Guardhouse, too?
I have it and can't remember where it came from.

oh yeah, and try deleting the .rsr files. Those can get corrupt.
Would be in the same library folder with the png and pz files.

Wasn't there a hotfix that came out recently? I think I saw mention somewhere in this forum.
Have you tried re-installing the hair and clothes content items to your P8?
Poser had a certain search order when it looks for files, but I forget what it is.

In Poser 7 (remember the good ole days of 7?),
I've found that sometimes a render which would hang,
will usually work if I do the make movie out put to Image thing.
It's still the Firefly engine, first guess is the technology is a tad different. Something like rendering to disk. It's still rendering shadows and smoothing, so it must still be reading the render settings, even though the make movie tab is a bit spare with options.

I had a near heart attack after installing SR3,
Poser wouldn't read my external runtimes where I keep my customized stuff.
Finally figured out I had to put the libraries in a subfolder titled 'runtime' to make SR3 happy.
